Your words and spacing make my BRAIN hurt. I read as much of your post before my nose started bleeding and you've got a noble concept there. However; you're dealing with human beings. They are varied, motivated by things that many can't comprehend and you cannot control them. If more people played this way then the world would be a better place...and then we could stop all the wars and all drink lemonade.

Had it a couple times now since the patch. Nothing special about the kills; one with a magnum, one with an FNX. Put someone down and they're gone in 60 seconds. Bad news for snipers :P

This will be it's own game and it'll have it's own moments :D That being said, this sounds like a good load to add to the bucket list for Dayz. Currently on the bucket list for tonight....run north until I pass out.

Just recently saw my first hacker. Absolutely certain. Some french guy killed someone with an M4 at close range. I watched this happen from about 200-250m away. Not sure what went down but the guy who got shot went down and I looked back up, the M4 french hacker looked in my direction and then started blipping towards me, about 50m at a time. Within seconds he was right in front of me, M4 in my face. I got my hands up and he eventually left me alone with a ruined cola. I asked him about the hack but he didn't seem to speak much english. I didn't have bugger all, so i guess he didn't wanna waste the ammo. I know it's a frustrating issue and it seems like there's a lot that could be done to resist it. However, you have to know it annoys the developers as well, and I'm sure they're doing everything they can to fight it without screwing up the game as it is.

This one speaks truth. I had the same issue. Had it a few times actually. Don't worry about the avatar on the main menu screen, or even if you log in and it says you're dead. 9/10 you just change servers til it all comes back to you. Try to stick with official servers. Seems like all the servers with weird rules (like no pvp, no military loot, night-time deathmatch, etc) like to spawn you in fresh.

I gave you beans...but it doesn't look like you need any more.

A good idea, but I'd tuck this one away for now and bring it back up in a year or 2 :P

Don't get me wrong, I'm not some KOS, lone wolf misanthrope. I'll talk to peeps. Help some peeps, hold up others. Player interactions are a core part of the game after all. But sometimes I just want someone's beans. Or sometimes I'm ferrying prime loot to a fresh spawned friend and I don't have time to chat. I like to rest by the shore in electro/cherno, hum to myself and pretend I'm fishing. Occasionally I'll shout gibberish at people like a hobo. But no matter what I do, or how I act, I will not trust people in this game.

I've had polite people kill me when my back is turned and I've had a 3-man camo squad bandage me when I was a new spawn,then they gave me a water bottle and then shot me dead. Do not trust anyone.

When trying to deal with players in this game, it helps to remember that they are not, strictly speaking, people. They are remorseless, immortal avatars of people. They exist in a world that is defined by the equipment in their inventory. Do not trust anyone.

Having this server issue. Sometimes, about 20% of the time, I can't see any servers, or maybe 1 or 2. I've been patient and waited for them to refresh while I read a book. I'm guessing after 15 mins it's not happening. When I do get into a server atm,I get the bug where you can't pick up or interact with anything. Not inventory or world objects. Can't even rest or select an item or weapon. Basically I'm locked out of the game for now. Looked about for answers and solutions...no cigar. I am enjoying the game though (when I can get in) so I guess I'll wait til it works again.

I checked all the controls before i got in the game and had a good idea of what to expect/do. I went to the first building I found and got a compass (yay) then I came out the building and a guy in full camo gunned me down with an M4 from about 50m away. C'est la Dayz.
