Unarmed / Low Tier Melee Players not Listening to Armed Guys
Zer0HD2 (DayZ) replied to hannibaldaplaya's topic in New Player Discussion
And of course in real life if somebody is trying to talk to you or something, you can just magically disappear on them. Combat logging has always been, and will always be, one of the most dickish things you can do in DayZ. -

fast and highly observant zombies are bad for the game

Wait until later in development when the full number of zombies is implemented before you say they are no threat... -
Running the game and getting playable performance are two different things. You can probably run it on those specs, but don't expect decent frame rates.

Yep, I'm the same. I'm usually the navigator of our group because I played the mod since its release, and played a lot of Arma 2 before that. Anyway, since I don't actually plan on doing this, another idea along the hiding tents in plain sight line is to put it with those storage tents (well, the ones with the same model as the storage tents in the mod) that are in the military tent areas. Assuming they actually use that model when they eventually add storage, that is.

My DayZ Experience: First Time Banditry
Zer0HD2 (DayZ) replied to zaknefain123's topic in New Player Discussion
That's how bandits should be. The problem with most of the "bandits" (KoS kiddies) in the game right now is that they force other people to either avoid player interaction all together or KoS in high risk areas. If I'm playing with my squad, we try to hold people up, cuff them, take a screenshot with them then let them go (sometimes taking a bit of food or water if we have none), but we're usually either forced to KoS on the airfields (North-west/east, we don't camp Balota like some people) because we can't take the risk, or we get fired at first and have to engage with no chance of talking to them. -
That may be less of an issue now that waypoints aren't a thing any more. Before, you would have players setting a waypoint and blindly walking in a straight line to it, no matter what terrain it took them through. That's how my base was found most of the time. Now players are forced to actually use landmarks to navigate, and most of the people I've encountered have been on or near roads. Still, there are no locations that are entirely safe.

You, sir, are a real bandit. Not one of these KoS kiddies. Have my beans. And my shoes.
