So be it. If that's the price for immature babies like you to stop combat logging in fear with piss dripping down their leg I'd gladly pay it. But I'm not as simple as you, as to log off in a spot you could even be in danger from.

I'm actually 2 years younger than you but many years the intellectual superior. So no, I finished highschool 3 years ago. But seriously, you're a hypocrite for calling people pussies for talking about a hypothetical situation in which they would CL because the games immersion is broken, and then you actually go ahead and do the real combat logging. Which is cancerous and will be removed whether you like it or not.

I vaulted off a dam into a little river (3-4 foot drop), the moment I hit the water, my mosin which wasn't in my hands, my pistol which was in my backpack, and my backpack automatically unequipped themselves and floated on the water. The pistol somehow came out of the backpack, without my doing. Took me many minutes to find a way to get my items back, very painstaking. Involved eating once I glitched my items back to shore too magically reequip everything. I posted a bug report here if you want more details. http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=6393 My question is has this happened to anyone before? And is this suppose to happen?

Ok good! I'm glad people can get their inventory back. I posted this because I was worried about if other players experienced this and couldn't get their inventory back. Happy its not that serious.

Every single time I have come across a group that has stopped me, regardless of my gear I haven't logged. And nor have I logged in the situation I stated above, I just stated a hypothetical situation that's brought along by more game breaking immersion.

Actually, I've killed 1 person in 40 hours to test how a fireaxe works. I'm generally friendly, and sneaky. I have better ways to spend my time than ruin other peoples fun and work they put into getting their equipment. And let me get that quote for you. Since you've gone and taken it totally out of context. Which someone of your caliber intelligence is expected to do.

Most of the time, I see people come up behind me. Once they see I'm heavily armed. They combat log and I didn't even turn my character around to show that I saw them. This behavior is pathetic.

Ok, so you're old and immature, good for you. And the logout timer is to stop people from alt f4ing or plainly exiting like you've stated before you already do the moment you see danger. These people are called pussies by the majority of the playerbase who don't combat log. And this cancerous lazy behavior is going to be weaved out of the game, with no options to put it back in. So don't get your hopes up kid. Those 30 seconds of your character standing idle are going to be the funnest moments a person can have in DayZ. Time to put away the guns, and take out the fists.

I would for specific circumstances. Such as a group of heavily armed assholes server hop right next to me. I'd type fuck you in chat and log. That's pretty much it.

Are we talking about a timer that's always active, you click exit and have to wait however long to leave? Or a timer that activates when you enter combat (however that's judged), and when it runs out you can leave? For the first option, 15 seconds. For the latter, 30 seconds.

If all else fails you could try reinstalling the game, but I doubt it would actually come to that. Try what spartan suggested.
