Gromit (DayZ)

"The truth is that it's 2012 and internet connections don't suck anymore" But what about us Australians? ): silly government and their promises..

Any clue why this is happening? I have max blood, nothing is wrong with my character. Its rather annoying.. Its more then a minute actually, 2-3 minutes most of the time. Fix it. Its seriously annoying.. Does this happen to anyone else?

Ok, So there I was. Longest Id survived, Had a ghillie suit, a ak74su, sadly a makarov, plenty of hospital supplies, food and water to last be decades. Not to mention plentiful ammo. I hear a gunshot, followed by "anyone out there" over direct comms. He sounded nice and all, So I replied "Yes" and set a meeting point. He got to the top of the building first, giving him the advantage. As I climb up the latter I was startled to see him already there. I make the fatal mistake of saying "Hold on a sec, I got a present for you.." and he fires an entire makarov clip into me ): If the guy who killed me is out there, Jack *hint hint*, I was going to give you a camo suit that I had been carrying for ages trying to find a person to give it to :D. Silly Jack ;)

Cheers man, I assume I can just extract that .exe anywhere from its zip and then run the .exe to install the update? I did that, but now the game wont launch from steam.. It just crashes? Ill try launching via Six Launcher.

So, as the title stated I cannot connect to any server anymore. I get "bad version, server rejected" type of message. I have been able to play DayZ before. I looked up a few threads and one said delete your original @DayZ folder. I did that, deleted it all. I then opened up Six Launcher and clicked on a random server which said "1.7.1.1/beta *numbers", like most servers say. So I let it download its ~360mb update? But still to no avail, I dont know what is wrong with it or why it isnt working. Can someone please help me out here? Cheers.

It will be enough to make then think about "disconnecting" in "this" place or "that" place. Meaning, they could run, where you could catch them. In haven where Perma-death was, well, permanent and you could lose months of progress on a character, they introduced a system where it takes 10 seconds to hearth and/or log out. In this case, where if you die and such, I believe 5 seconds is inefficient and 10 seconds is their best bet. Or, simply introduce a system where you cant log-out in combat.

Might have to look for some Australian or NZ friends who want to play this game properly ^^. As for now, I have to go to work and hope that the game will be downloaded when im back and luckily my internet isnt capped. We all know how great Australian internet is ^_^.

Downloading Arma 2: Combined Operations from Steam at the moment, I expect to play DayZ after work. But after reading through about people shooting others on sight, the game being a "slow paced death match"; etc. This post really makes me happy :D I love it when I hear people have to rely on others to live. Be it trading for guns, ammunition, supplies, etc. Makes it sound great! Also, are there any servers for Australians? (:
