You will not benefit from dual or even triple card setup (atleast not with current renderer implementation). DayZ is broken, on my gpu (R9 280x which is AMD equivalent of GTX 770) it uses 40% of GPU and I get like ~30 FPS in cities.

That's good, no error's indicated by mobo. Are you able to connect monitor to motherboard, not GPU? I'm afraid your motherboard have only D-sub port. Oh, and did your computer `beep` before that problem while starting?
-
Yeah, but I need to know what model do you have so I can check if it is known as PSU with stable lines because you can have 5kW PSU but if it is badly designed voltage can vary can damage your PC parts. Metro is known as demanding game so your PSU could not give stable enough current and something could get damaged Ok, for now. Is that beep long or short? Single or many?
-
Intel ATX is some standard or certificate, I'm not sure but it is not PSU's name. If you remove your pc's backplate you should see something like that http://www.legitreviews.com/images/reviews/544/corsair_vx450_psu_5.jpg could you make a photo of label similar to this one? I was asking about case to make sure your PC has good airflow and it looks like it wasn't caused by overheating. PS. Once you remove backplate and check PSU run PC and look if GPU's fans are running.
-
Single beep? You should check your motherboard's manual to check which error is indicated by single beep. I'm asking about your PSU, not wattage. Also tell me what motherboard do u have and what PC case (or atleast how many fans does it have).

Do you hear if it boots to windows? What is your PSU? Any "beeps" while booting? edit: ah, and what is your exact GPU?
-
Yes, because who will install nvidia card on server?

Why the limits on zombies and loot? System to increase limits
wirher replied to RedgeZat's topic in Suggestions
Yeah, srsly it is just TL;DR. You will not change anything and they will not read your posts. They have experience in game production and even if it is still buggy and looks lame they are more experienced than you. @up GG with idea of locked memory. Let viruses stay in RAM and be untouchable. -

Stop even trying. They have game designers and they know how to make games. Basically it should be like that: 1)Client sends event request and displays that event. 2)Server verifies event and If it breaks game logic (read: cheat) it corrects Client's game state. 3)Updated game state is sent to all players (where map should be divided in square chunks to avoid informing for e.g. newspawn on the coast about somebody's inventory on NWAF). -
I need somone to record a short video with [rewards]

Wow. DayZ's community is totally broken. 13 replies, 6 toxic posts. ("yeah man, but this is alpha™"). -
Yep, I have the same issue. Experimental servers lag so hard even if players have high badwidth and good ping. It's just server FPS being drastically low. If you try to put something in your hand it takes like one minute. Dunno what is happening but probably engine is not designed to handle bilions hats (cuz this is what they added since first release).

Playing Dayz causes my computer to shut down as if it overheat
wirher replied to Goodrita's topic in Troubleshooting
Srsly, you say that PSU is to weak without even asking what kind he has. What PSU do you have? -
You have to choose between games and "being cool"(sic!). Minimum required GPU is Intel 4000 HD. So it is not possible to run this game on your Mac. I don't know if you can do this on Mac, but with some laptops with thunderbolt or expresscard you can use external GPU (even classic PC GPU). There is interesting thread about that http://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1191969-external-gpu-for-laptops-supercharge-your-graphics/

It seems to be a lot of triangles but performance shouldn't be bad there because of batching technique. This way single draw call can render a lot of instances of the same object. It may be confusing, because polycount of the scene stays the same but batching can save a lot of time between frames. Forests shouldn't EVER drop below 60fps with vsync on $300 cpu and gpu but it does. DayZ SA looks decent today. It is huge open world, however today with occlusion culling, LoD and other tricks we can have almost infinite game world and keep great graphics. If anyone says "dayz has bad performance because the game world is big" remember that's bullshit - it's just not optimized well enough.

Rolling Changelog: Stable Branch: 0.32.114557
wirher replied to rocket's topic in News & Announcements
Rocket, honey! I know you are working all the time, but If I didn't bitch about something it wouldn't be me. What about mouse acceleration? -
If I buy DayZ SA in it's current form, will I get the full game when released?
wirher replied to Grachasaurus's topic in New Player Discussion
yes -
I think climbing another mountain may help game development. But seriously. We know devs are people, they have families, etc. But what was that last update? One of the first bugs was lack of disabling mouse acceleration. Rocket even confirmed that on twitter. And you tell me that they can't DISABLE useless feature in 10 days? Is putting "If statement" in code that hard? "OH BUT THIS GAME IS SO COMPLICATED AND IT IS ALPHA, STOP BITCHING YOU READ WARNING ON STEAM BEFORE BUYING!!!!!111ONEONE!" yeah, right. But even kid can see that there is something wrong with development. $5mln is enough to hire more developers so everyone can focus on each aspect of game. But when I read on twitter that this game is being debugged at the airport I want to uninstall this game. We are testers FINE. None of mine reports on bugtracker was verified by moderator, when I saw 90% of issues there. Cool, players are working harder than devs.
