The day in the life of an utter expert
friendly-forager replied to mooky32's topic in General Discussion
Indeed, I could only believe this if I'd of seen a video :-) Nice story though but tbh you taken out armed guys and mention you have 3 shots left.. as swift and precise as you sound why not quick loot the dead hostile for weapon/ammo? -

Rolling Update Rev. 0.30.113953
friendly-forager replied to Hicks_206 (DayZ)'s topic in News & Announcements
Yes it's rubber banding more after patch, pre patch I experienced it on the odd server (some times it could of Been I would run 10 seconds then zip back or as big as running to a village from across a field then zip back) but now it seems to have increased after patch happening more frequently and on more servers, I also did notice servers seemed to be more unstable yesterday... one server I went on even had a warning on load in saying about this new lagg. -

I have been playing on servers with 20 to 40 pings, I also have 100mb net speed fiber optic connection so my net isn't the problem... per last patch no banding the after patch banding so I'm sure the issue doesn't lie with me. -

Same here, before patch I was fine.. had the odd rubber banding in the odd server but after patch its terrible all servers. -
Haha green..... server hoppers fave spot, its great to sit in there with an m4 and kill as they log in haha, can get kills one after another he he, jump in there then pop on a low pop server and you can see for your self the hoppers can't resist it!

Veresnik fight - Narration - Duel view perspective - Tactical overview!
friendly-forager replied to Tovervlag's topic in Gallery
Nice video, enjoyed it :-) certainly nice to see the fight from the multiple perspective. -
Why not post this in the bug section... you do realise playing and taken part in the alpha build the devs count on us to report these bug/issues... get it reported so they can make a note to correct and fix this problem.

## hour player lock / Gear locked to server!
friendly-forager replied to WarAndRuin's topic in General Discussion
So I read a lot of post about server hopping loot whores.. tbh they don't bother me as I just see them as a way for the unlucky with loot players to gain gear but in all fairness I will admid its some level of cheating the system... Now whilst there is some decent suggestions and ideas out there ''some of the ideas are good & others will ruin the game'' so I guess we will just have to wait and see what the dev team see as a fit idea/fix to counter this issue. One idea I have had to maybe counter this problem is basically have it so the server your playing on either solo or with friends holds your loot and log off location in its memory there for allowing you to log off in selected and safe places with your friends/clan members. ''When I play I'm usually with friends and when one logs the others log or stay close by so when the others return we are safe in numbers'' But as a counter deterrent for server hopping how about having some kinds of system that makes you work for your current gear you had? So as an example you play on a server then decide to change/server hop... now the gear you had previously is stripped from you but not lost! In stead its placed some where on the map (as you spawn you see a becon in the air to guid you back or you have to find a map to seeits location) but your obviously spawned far away from it and in a different place to where you logged! There for you have to run and grab it again but to make it interesting you can't loot anything other than food and drink to keep alive whilst retrieving your kit back? Or some thing similar along those lines? As I stated this is just an idea it mite be good or mite sound bad but its seems along better than 24 hour locks or hour locks that would punish every player! Least with my idea only the deliberate hoppers would be punished :-) -
I also noticed this, as a fresh spawn one hit from a z makes you bleed but moto helmet and tac vests, cammo pants and the rest makes you more resilient to taken a damaging hit and bleeding :-)

Should I invest my time in 1st Person Servers?
friendly-forager replied to crazyandlazy's topic in General Discussion
Hmm depends on how you like to play, I find first person servers are less prone to bandits than 3rd person servers... seems the ability to 3rd person look over fences and much other stuff is favoured by the kos player base. Spent an hour on 3rd person enabled server and got killed... spent 5 or 6 hours on a first person server met many of survivers and lived peacefully no hassle or need to shoot! -
How about a new/planned/in progress feature list?
friendly-forager replied to cwunder99's topic in General Discussion
Or just simply kill it, even in numbers they are easily dispatched :-) now the invisible zombies those are hard! -
Haha nice collection! Ever fired one yet? Its loud as haha like the dinner bell Lee Enfield from the mod, nice whilst the zeds aint programmed to hoard up and seek out gun shots though but later when they are its going to be a dangerous gun..

Possible solution to KOS, hear me out
friendly-forager replied to jan3sobieski's topic in New Player Discussion
Having you're ideas in the game will just ruin the excitement and thrill of the game IMO..I love bumping into another random player and getting the adrenaline rush it gives or the shakes thinking oh damn I'm going to los all my gear! Either way its exciting he he. The paranoid ''is he going to shoot? Or shall I shoot... maybe he's friendly like me? Shall I run or shall I stay?'' Its a scary but an awesome buzz when you get those situations! or the panic shouting friendly over comms in game lol. Now I will admit I did like the bandit skins in the mod as it did give you the heads up on what to expect from another player Unlike it is now.. its simply kill or be killed or of course run and hope for the best lol but all in all its still damn exciting! It keeps you on your toes :-) -
Also forgot to mention improvised items like how about a improvised silencer on a gun? Plastics bottle + tape for a make shift silencer that's good for say 5 shots or so? That would be cool to see :-)

Hello fellow community :-) I would love to see some more variety of weapons for examples.. Melee: Frying pans! Would be funny to pan a zombie in the face! Also some creative stuff maybe like finding nails and a hammer plus a bat then combining the 3 to make spiked base ball bat! And more tools! I found a shovel so what about pitch fork? Or the garden rake or pick axes, farmers scythe to go zombie killing Grimm style he he. Guns: I think weapons that are single shot or low ammo capacity would be awesome rather than fully auto military grade spec, I mean we all love guns but if they are low ammo capacity or single shot it gives survivers a chance rather than being mowed down by one guy spraying and praying... Now with low mag capacity or single shot guns it would mean you need precision or planning to take out a bandit or for a bandit to take out friendlys for there belongings! But hey this is just my opinion, but realistically i know military grade weapons are here to stay so maybe make it much harder to piece together them and make ammo more scarce or not in the same locations along with the military grade rifle... I my self I found a pistol with no ammo or magazine... carried it around for hours and still no mag yet in one place I found a full working m4 with duel mag full 60 rounds and a 40 round cmag... I would of preferred to start out with a pistol first then later earning a military grade rifle...
