When they add vehicles whats going to end up happening is a couple people per server are going to rush to get them and as soon as they get them a massive horde of players are going to swarm to their location if they go anywhere near a city with it. The reason why this wasn't a problem in the mod is because there were a lot of vehicles and they were expendable, in Standalone I assume they would be both loud and rare, not what you want to put your entire group in. Thats why when the add bikes I am hesitant on using them for the first couple weeks because having a bike when they first come out I feel like is going to be asking to get shot.

Pretty sure a hero wouldn't give you his/her M4 and all of his/her gear if you asked though.

Problem With No Longer Spawning In/near Cherno

People would find very high locations and shoot people with Mosins as they are descending -
Problem With No Longer Spawning In/near Cherno
Timecharge replied to Timecharge's topic in General Discussion
Yeah I really agree with this. Unless you are new to the game everyone who has ever been to Balota knows that going to the Balota Airfield is/was asking to get shot and most people that went into it knew the consequences. I can see why they would remove the Balota spawn, but idk why they had to remove all of the other Coastal spawns West of Electro. -
Why is everyone suggesting kill a bandit and take his/hers? Is there something wrong with killing a Hero and taking his/hers?

Problem With No Longer Spawning In/near Cherno
Timecharge replied to Timecharge's topic in General Discussion
Yeah but what I've noticed is all they did was change the side of the map where you see a lot of action. By removing the West of Electro spawns they made Berezino incredibly active to a point where it is the new Cherno, you can get to the Airfield near Berezino fairly quick if you know where to go. -
If we are talking about realism in Day Z shouldn't the only way to kill zombies be with a severe blow to the head? Because in Day Z you can hit/shoot a zombie where ever you feel like and depending on your weapon the zombie will die in various amounts of hits. Secondly, if this was realistic, when a zombie attacks you aren't you supposed to get infected and turn into a zombie? Hence the whole reason why it would be an actual problem if there was a Zombie Apocalypse

Character Just Got Wiped For No Reason?
Timecharge replied to hoopman130's topic in General Discussion
Some servers are not connected to the central hive and will end up with you character having gear only specific to that server. And if you lost your gear in the Central Hive it is due to it being in Alpha and your gear will get wiped every now and then. If you would like further updates on this there is a post on it in the announcements and information forum by dean i think -
If you don't want to die from someone with a gun just sprint in circles or in different patterns, fairly difficult to hit someone unless you have an m4 when they are sprinting like that

I have noticed that In-Game Soda's cure Hunger as well as Thirst, is this intended?

TO MY KNOWLEDGE, It is designed so that players using the 3pp look-around-corners feature/exploit cannot get gear that will allow them to go to a 1pp server and kill players in 1pp using the gear that they got in 3pp with the look-around-corners feature/exploit. Its a fair system and reduces the complaining about players who use 1pp having to deal with players who use the 3pp feautre/exploit to get gear

I am a fan of Fire axes, they are quiet around 2 shots will kill any player, you don't need ammo for them, and if you pull out a fire axe and chase someone you can kill them as they are trying to pull out their weapon to fight back. The only weapons I have killed players with are magnums and melee weapons, nothing else

What do you guys think of Military Vehicles with Heavy Weaponry on them (BTR's, Humvee's, Helicopters (I think), and planes) requiring a very rare type of ammo that you can only find in military-type areas? That way people are a little more conservative with their ammo when firing off Lethal rounds.

It'd be ludicrous to think there WONT be a functioning train
Timecharge replied to autoloon's topic in General Discussion
Theres train cargo holds just past cherno, and in IRL a lot of train tracks don't even have trains that run on them anymore -
Looking for more servers that I like to play on (specifically hardcore servers), I want to start playing on hardcore servers but don't want to spend a ton of time browsing through a bunch of servers to find one I like.
-
You could also use the loot you got to attempt to solo all of the heroes.

There's no reason to go to the NWAF or the north anymore (here's why)
Timecharge replied to omgwtfbbq (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I feel like this is a problem that should be addressed (if is still an issue) once the game is finished and we can see what guns they add and what spawns where. -
Can I stop by if I'm not in the squad?
-
Okay so are you all bandits or all you all heroes? Because you could be a group of bandits that goes out hunting other players or you could be heroes that hunt bandits.

I am finding it very difficult starting out
Timecharge replied to bdm634's topic in General Discussion
I have found the best way to get experienced with this game is to die, a lot no matter how many guides you read the best way to learn in my opinion is to go out there and experience it first hand.. I do not know one Day Z player that hasn't died at least once. Every time I have died I have learned something from it, which is why i encourage you to learn something from it, whether its from zombies or another player, examine how you died and learn to do said task better next time. If it is from being shot by a guy with a Mosin that was hundreds of yards away, learn how to prevent that next time, stay near walls more and move faster across open fields near he coast. If you died in a firefight go to a low pop server, find a lot of zombies and use them as target practice if you really need to, or get into more fire fights and just learn what to do better next time. Also, everyone has their own style of killing other players, some will charge them head on, some will ambush them, some will wait until the opportune moment and hit them with a Fire Axe when they least expected it, others will shoot them from hundreds of yards away and not even give said person a chance to fight back. I could go on with methods of killing people but that would get redundant. I wish you the best of luck. edit: Having a weapon is useless if you have no experience using it, you can have the best gear in the game and get killed by players with splitting axes simply because you were inexperienced with your gear. Don't get attached to your gear either or work to hard to get it if you don't need it if you play your cards right you can kill a lot of players with a Fire Axe. -
Step 1: Buy the game. Step 2: Go to the forums, after an incident happens in game that you didn't like. Step 3: Complain about KOSing and or losing all of your gear while failing to realize that its part of the game and you shouldn't get attached to your gear. Step 4: Forum posters (some of which probably have done this themselves) complain about the countless threads created by players who took part in Step 3 on the forums about this topic. Step 5: Realize that you shouldn't complain because game is in alpha and a major part of Day Z is not getting attached to your gear. Step 6: Repeat Step 4 yourself. Step 7: Make forum thread complaining about people complaining about losing their gear.
