SU Gaming Network introduces our official DayZ Epoch server! Our goal is to bring as close of a survival apocalypse feel as possible. A group of players have taken steps to add to that feeling by starting construction on their own custom military base and operating like the last military survivors. They are NOT bandits and will never kill unless attacked/provoked. They are currently working on setting up storage sheds along the coast filled with supplies as well as repairing vehicles and airlifting them to the coast for survivors to use to get a jump start. Their goal: Assist the non infected survivors. Our goal is to create a server that keeps the "survivor" feel that DayZ intended to bring, as well as the "rebuilding" feel that Epoch tries to bring. We will not do any changes to the server that make it "too easy" such as indestructible bases, no decay to the base structure, no overburden...etc. >WILL NOT HAPPEN< Those are there for a reason and take away the meaning of the game. Our AI are a challenge! TIP: Gut 2 zombies, right click the parts in your gear, smear the guts on you to walk among the zombies! Careful, it only lasts for 30 minutes and if it rains, you're exposed! I have a question for those Tech Gurus and I'd also like to get a response from a Dev when they get a chance.... I have a XFX Radeon HD 7770 PICTURE: http://images.anandtech.com/doci/5541/XFX7770-1.jpg I can play the DayZ Mod full graphics in HD no problem, no lag, and the graphics card keeps itself cool just fine... DayZ Standalone: Temperature hits 156 F (73 C) Game runs fine, smooth, no problems, but my card has never gotten that hot. CPU stays at 86 F (30 C) when running the game. There's no water cooling system in my machine, mostly because I don't believe water and electronics should be near each other(especially as much money as I've invested on building this machine) I've got 4 fans mounted to the chassis, one on the top, one in the back, one in the front, and one on the side. Phenom? The game wasn't anywhere close to maxing out my processor. Like i said, on Max settings, the game was running perfect, smooth, no lag, nothing. I saw that too, however, I like to keep electronics cool because heat can cause wear and tear on computer components over time. Yes, they are built to last, however, I guess you can consider me "protective" of my system lol.

I initially played with full graphics, lowered them little by little, until the lowest. It still ran warmer than other graphically demanding games that I have (i.e BattleField 3, the DayZ Mod, etc.) Never heard of this, i'll look into it! Thanks!
