Hahahahahahaha someone just wasted $70+ on a server that just got blacklisted. Return to the place you belong, troll. That money could have been used to repaint your bridge. Follow these rules next time: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/158966-dayz-standalone-server-hosting-rules-server-reporting/

are people trying to make the SA to friendly?
MystoganXIX replied to dgeesio's topic in General Discussion
...getting shot at is part of the damn game. Getting some stupid ass debuff from "sanity" when you kill people is a punishment as it is not a part of the game. -

MystoganXIX replied to dgeesio's topic in General Discussion
Because any of the options people suggest that DO remove/inhibit player killing does infringe on the game we paid for. Private server owners may be able to modify the game to their liking, but I'm sure most of the people who bought this game planning to play public were expecting the "hardcore" aspect hyped about as well as a similar/expanded experience of DayZ Mod. If many of the anti-KoS suggestions were implemented, it would be impossible to KoS or cause negative effects that punish killing. Not everyone wants to play a game where they can be killed at any moment... then those people should have researched a bit more before purchasing DayZ. Even then, they can just wait until Private Servers are up and PvP:off servers are available. If you can't handle the "hardcore" aspect of this game, wait until those servers that cater to your kind are up and running. Not all of the suggestions given on this forum were extremely bad, but most of them from what I've seen are deliberately focused on preventing players from killing other players. These are the suggestions that always get shot down. Nobody is forcing you to play this game killing anyone else you meet. This is just how alot of people have decided to play this game. Why should they be punished? Nobody is punishing you for being a "friendly!!!!!", but it just so happens that playing this way makes it easier for others to put bullets in your ass. -

It's not just about KoSing people. You should really take your own advice on "Try to see both side of the coin". It is about the freedom we have in the game to do whatever the hell we want. Changing the entire game which is what is suggested most of the time will result in those "KoSers" and players who just want to play a decent "non-carebear" game being forced into dealing with certain unrealistic/annoying PvE restricting elements that hinder/punish PvP. Nobody is against having PvE servers as long as it is not using the public hive. If separate hives are implemented for PvE and Free servers, then nobody will care. I'm pretty sure some PvE servers will begin popping up when private server hives are available, so it is pretty much covered already. -
Toggle between crouch and stand
MystoganXIX replied to 11_harley_11's topic in New Player Discussion
I much prefer having it on different keys for this game. The controls at times seem to be very unresponsive. Spamming a toggle key during these times would only cause further frustration. -
In tip #11, you need to add a hyphen between "t" and "shirt". Now I understand why school teachers liked annoying me with my mundane mistakes. It is pretty fun.

I think we should have a drug/addiction system.
MystoganXIX replied to The Shane Walsh of DayZ's topic in Suggestions
...what the hell kind of weed are you smoking which makes you hear zombie moans and opening soda cans? I haven't used any of the other drugs, so I can't speak on how they affect the user... but I never had that problem when high. I think you got your shit laced or something bud. I think his idea with heroin comes from the fact that addicts kinda look like zombies. Zombies in "most" of the zombie movies aren't actively chasing down and eating other zombies. (Before someone screams at their computer screen before replying in all caps, "THEY ARE NOT ZOMBIES", go read one of the patch notes from a while ago. You will find the word "Zombie" in it.) -
Zombies: Using dynamic Entities and Spawn points to address client/server load w/ Zombies & Loot
MystoganXIX replied to ninjacalypse's topic in Suggestions
If the distance to activate zombie spawns is large enough, it eliminates this problem. Your client can only render players and zombies from so far away. If you set the spawning of zombies to be just outside of a player's render distance, they wouldn't be able to tell if they were the person who caused the zombie to spawn or if it was someone else. -
Why are we suggesting to reduce the capabilities of the gun? A gun doesn't become better or worse depending on the person who holds it. As a wise lady once said, "It's an inanimate fucking object." Your ability to aim needs to be toned down and accuracy of firearms if anything needs to be buffed. (It is logical that a bipod would significantly increase your aiming.) Even with a weapon that has perfect accuracy, it won't hit anything if you can't aim worth shit.

I think we should have a drug/addiction system.
MystoganXIX replied to The Shane Walsh of DayZ's topic in Suggestions
Just occured to me that if drugs are added into the game... we can force them on people we handcuff. All the possibilities... Death by heroine, seeing how well a crack addict can survive when released in a town full of zombies, forcing massive amounts of coke on bambis and watch them haul ass down the road, etc. -
I'm not against the idea of cannibalism, but think for a minute. Once this becomes a feature of DayZ, what is difference then between us as human players and the zombies?

I think we should have a drug/addiction system.
MystoganXIX replied to The Shane Walsh of DayZ's topic in Suggestions
You can handcuff female players/characters, strip them, and force them to eat various items, some of which are lethal. Do you think people are going to do the same in life after finishing with the game? No... no human being that is mentally stable enough to even play "violent" videogames is going to do that. I really don't think drug use is out of the question. I don't see any negatives from adding in "Drugs" to the game. It will likely work the same way it did in Fallout3/New Vegas. You take drugs to get the desired boost temporarily. Abuse them though and you must suffer some negative effects for a while or until you get your "fix". Walking around town sneaking by zombies because you're so jacked up on heroine could be a nice gag, but some people will probably argue that it is immersion breaking. The other suggestions are fine. -
You didn't capitalize your "i"'s whenever you use them to refer to yourself. You use a capitalized U in place of the word "you". You are missing commas in some of your run-on sentences. In general tip #8, you use the word "loose" instead of "lose". Some of your sentences are incomplete thoughts. (Sentence fragments) They may be more, but this is just my quick browsing of your post.

Obviously theres only so much BE and VAC can do in outing cheaters. It will always be an ongoing competition between the two. What does slightly annoy me though is when people constantly complain about hackers without even knowing 100% if that person is hacking. Especially for this game, when all the bugs/glitches we deal with during alpha cause some major BS in our gameplay. I never played arma 2 or the dayZ mod... but I've been playing TF2 for years. (A game which relies on VAC protection) VAC does a good job in that game. Pretty much every "hacker" I've met is using a fresh account because VAC is going to ban them 2 weeks later. Keep in mind that TF2 is a FREE game. These people that create new accounts every 2 weeks will likely not do the same thing for this game, since it will cost $30+ a week to continue playing. On top of this, BE is apparently a great anti-cheat service. Also it seems that unlike VAC, BE tends to kick people on the spot for cheating. I get a feeling most of the "cheaters" people complain about are not cheaters. Its just that same mentality I see in TF2 that "If this person is able to screw me over this badly/pwn me, they MUST be cheating." Only in this game, all the bugs and the glitches are making it much easier for players to justify the accusation that another person is cheating.

3 years from becoming (legally) an independent adult is not an excuse for poor spelling and grammar. Since you're on the internet, laziness is a valid excuse for this though. Just go with that next time.

1st question - Answer: The game as it stands is very bitchy about where your crosshair is corresponding to the item you are trying to pick up. Keep moving it around on the object and wait until you see the pick up item option show. It is easier if you just stand over the item and open your inventory. The item under you should appear in the top left, where you can just double click or click and drag it into your inventory. 2nd question - Answer: Right click it and eat it. Same here as with the first, the game is very bitchy about performing actions. If it does not work the first time, keep right clicking and spamming the eat action until you finally do it. If these don't work, chances are you discovered a new bug or are experiencing one that has been reported recently.

Well, here is the issue with zombies... [VIDEO]
MystoganXIX replied to eddybravo2654's topic in General Discussion
hahahahaha very funny video. I recommend next time before looting in a town, you shoot of a couple rounds in the middle of town, preferably in an open spot. (Of course only if you don't mind alerting any players that may possibly be in the area. But I'm sure most of the kids will shit themselves and combat log if they hear you shooting anyways.) Zombies are so much easier when killed this way. -
Players who exploit the ability to server hop and players who don't.
MystoganXIX replied to hannibaldaplaya's topic in New Player Discussion
It is pretty much... impossible to prevent people from using communication methods like teamspeak. Even if they make Battleye or some other system that bans people for using teamspeak/mumble/vent/etc, (as stupid as this would be) this game is played through Steam. You can always just add someone to your friendslist and either send them messages or create group calls. They cannot prevent people from using the system in which the game is played from. -
*Long Post* The Intuition System and how it can work within DayZSA (Read before flaming)
MystoganXIX replied to Slyguy65's topic in General Discussion
Heh... first sugggestion I've seen that I am not completely against concerning effects that are a result of "KoS"ing people. As long as these "intuition" phrases wouldn't show up until you could actually see a person and put your crosshair over them. Would also need to limit the range for it. I'm sure nobody wants snipers to be able to scan over the grass and tree leaves searching for a point in which an intuition phrase pops up... which pretty much tells them that they moused over someone. The sniper wouldn't have seen that person otherwise. -
Don't look for mosins in Military bases and Airfields, I have NEVER seen them spawn in those places. I do tend to find them in pretty random places in large towns. I think the most common places I see them are in the close together apartment complexes. You should still look in military areas for the Long Range Scope, and maybe the bipod if you cant find one in normal towns

Battleye... I'm thinking it's not good
MystoganXIX replied to InvisiMan2013's topic in General Discussion
I don't believe that these are hacks. The person started shooting after you went playing around near the window. They started bursting and it seems like they missed alot of their shots. They knew where your general area was but because you didn't haul ass out of there... they just kept shooting and eventually hit you. (Either by bullets through window or bullets randomly penetrating through walls and eventually hitting you.) If this was a hacker, I don't think you would have stayed alive as long as you did here. Personally I've never come across any of them, but from I read on forums and see on streams... they can teleport around and kill other players instantly. They wouldn't waste bullets shooting at you and missing when they could just cheat and kill you instantly with 1 or 2. -
I see no problem with the friendly servers atm as long as admins aren't kicking people. As long as they continue to have nice spots on the mountainside where I can aim into high traffic areas with a mosin, I'm happy.

Well... at least the OP's suggestions aren't as bad as alot of the other threads bitching about player killing. When I was reading this one, I didn't feel like it was completely out of the question and only catering to the people who hate PvP. I could actually have a bit of fun with this one since a part of the game that entertains me is the paranoia factor. Still... you're giving unrealistic punishments for something that is human nature. The only reason you think killing another human being is so bad and results in such things is because of the society you were raised in.

Doing this is currently against the rules. You need to wait until some PvE private servers are made until you can see these type of rules enforced without resulting in a server blacklist.

Report that server bud. They're not allowed to do that if they're using the public hive. If you report it to the correct server hosting service, you can get them blacklisted which pretty much means they wasted $70-$100 Here is the instructions on how to report servers: (2nd post) http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/158966-dayz-standalone-server-hosting-rules-server-reporting/
