    I bet 95% of people on this board have never even written "Hello World" in any programming language before. Please don't provide your technical analysis of game development if you have absolutely zero clue as to what goes on.

  3. I came across the same thing north of Svetlo in the rocks on Dayz NJ 2-15. Infinite m4 mags, 1,084 rds of SKS, ammo can and protector case inception. I took all the gear to another server and laid in somewhere in the woods so at least those hackers couldn't get it again.

    Beware for invisible players again. Especially when the server is lagging a lot. One of those scenarios where I can see someone and 3 others can't.

    It's only happened to me when I am prone around rocks and I get to an area that makes me automatically stand up because of the slope.
  9. This is the first iteration of loot respawning so they have plans to restructure and modify it at a later time. Once an item has been laying on the ground for a certain period of time(no word on how long that is), they get flagged and removed by the server. This does not apply to storage containers (tents, fridges, backpacks) and the items inside of them so it would be wise to use them.

    But in my video, no loot spawned with ANYTHING on the ground. And nothing respawned unless it was at least 300m away and it worked every single time.

    Hmm, I'm not sure. Maybe there was loot that you missed or there is missing piece of the puzzle in the mechanics we haven't found yet.
  12. I couldn't get that map position marker to come up so I don't think it's a feature. Also, they have fixed the 3rd person camera issue where you can peek through walls or through windows. I tried for a good 15 minutes on many different types of homes and couldn't peek through it once. It seems like what they did was enable collision on the character and camera so it won't let you lean if you are close to a wall and if you swing the camera holding alt, it just stops. That's definitely really cool and improves 3rd person playing by a lot.
  13. Yup, no marker for me. I'm suspecting a bug. Hopefully we can put our heads together and figure out the missing link.
  14. The two barns just west of the NEAF were spawning ridiculous loot before this most recent patch. I've been there since the patch and haven't see anything. Since nobody is 100% sure on the loot mechanics, it's hard to determine if it's working properly.

  16. I had a map and could not see this yellow circle showing my position or any other player. Maybe it is a bug? I only had one piece of the map, not sure if that matters or not.
  17. LMB bug certainly still exists, just don't press it too fast and you can usually get away with it. Loot was extremely rare and doesn't seem right, not even sure if it's respawning. Also the intense rubberbanding you get the first 30 seconds or so after the server restarts, try not to move around especially if you are in a building or it may kill you.
  18. Tents look great but look enormous! Maybe we will be able to crouch inside of them to take shelter from the elements since the tents from the mod usually gave you broken legs if you tried to crawl into them :D
  19. Some people take pride in their jobs and hobbies. Dean Hall obviously loves making video games and wants to start his own company when he finishes his time at Bohemia. There are also 70+ others working on this project so it's not going to simply be abandoned. It would certainly be a foolish business move to abandon an already successful product which has even more potential.

    Since the addition of persistent loot, I have been seeing a lot more notes laying around and it's great. Now if they can add a separate texture so you can see if something is written on it without having to right click, hopefully they will be even more popular.
  21. Cooking meat seems to take much longer now. About 11 minutes to cook deer and cow steaks. I recall before, it was only 3-4 minutes but maybe I am missing something, anyone else notice this? Doesn't seem worth it to kill a cow when it takes that long to cook with such little nutritional value returned.
  22. Many of the US SouthCentral and other servers are stuck in a restarting cycle. The times will go from 8:00 to 9:20 to 15:00 and repeat. Sometimes you'll be able to log into the server for 10 seconds or so before it restarts again. This sucks because I just dropped a shit ton of loot on the ground in my stash area and now I can't go back on the server to get it. :(
  23. The developers are surely aware of this issue, the main reason being that they didn't want to discuss the mechanics of loot respawning to see how players naturally react to it. I recall Eugen on reddit saying those exact words and they want to gauge how things would behave and would adjust the mechanics accordingly. Don't worry, this is the very reason for having the experimental branch.

    I just overheard Hicks on his stream talking about how items get flagged for removal on a server after a certain period of time.
