It would also probably ruin your clothes. I don't think a a pair of pants would be too effective if one of the pant legs where still on a leg hidden in grass.

I have a new story. I was heading toward Rify. I had a m4 with only a 10 round mag, (I accidentally switched mags by pressing F and I didn't have inventory room so it dropped the 30 round mag and it clipped into the wall and I lost it. <_< ) But I was almost at the RIfy when I heard a shot fly by me, so I ducked behind a tree, and the guy was running to me thinking I didn't have a gun. So I took out my m4 and put 4 rounds in his chest to find that he had full ttsko gear, Assault vest, decked out m4 and full hunting backpack, and while I was sorting through taking all his good gear, A guy snuck up on me with an axe. and killed me with 2 hits. The guy had next to no gear so a god dam new spawn with an axe just got full military gear and m4 with tons of pristine mags. I had never actually had full military gear before, so when the guy with the axe killed me I nearly cried. But, its part of the game. No matter how much it crushes my entire spirit and soul. I will still wuv Day Z. The only thing is, I don't know if the guy with the military just wanted to get my attention or was coming to handcuff and rob me, so I didnt take the chance and ended him. (P.S: If you see this story guy I killed, I'm sorry if you were friendly, if you weren't i'm not sorry. *Story Over*

I have no idea what the town was named, But it is a Large town on the East coast, just north of where the new spawns are. I was on a server with a population of atleast 25+, and I was jogging around like ti was no ones business. (I had an m4, Orange raincoat, green cargo pants, A black moto helmet, and 30 round m4 mag.) And I was exploring what looked like a bar, and I was jogging along the second floor and I heard a bullet whizz by my head, and I almost shit my pants. So I ran to the corner went prone and watched the only entrance. After about 10 minutes I decided to move and I went hiding and looting a bit more. Then I went to the outskirts of town and realised. Holy shit I finally have a good gun with ammo, I can fight back, So I was carefully going through town searching for the guy, and then I felt lucky and decided to check the fountain> I turned the corner m4 raised to see a guy just start filling his water bottle and look over at me. I swear I have a strong feeling he said "OH SHIT" outloud the second he saw me. I put 5 rounds in his chest instantly then checked around to see if he had friends. I seen he was a lone wolf like me and went and looted him, to realise he had no gun, and I just KOS'd an innocent person. So my Canadian kicked in and I started to feel bad. Then I looted his can opener, his pistol holster, and his black bunny hug. Then I left him there dignifyed with an orange raincoat while he was making a puddle of blood. (P.S: If the guy I killed see this. I'm very sorry, you would understand the situation I was in and I didn't want to take a chance.) Then not even 5 minutes later I turned the corner to bump into a fresh spawn with a mountain backpack and a fire axe on his back, then proceeded him to run away ducking and weaving just sitting there laughing my ass of at how much he must have had a heart attack. Those construction sites never seem to NOT spawn back packs, I've found 3 mountain and a hunters in there, I believe hunter back packs just have a lower spawn rate

Don't carry a gun only melee weapon, take anything else if you'd like. Try to dress camo and if you see someone don't reveal yourself, continue to follow him for as far as you can without getting seen. (Optional: If you have a mic Fuck with his mind by getting close to him and make random creepy noises, or say weird threatening shit. Then proceed to laugh your ass off while he gets super paranoid.) Then when he is looting or spots you in a building kill him with your melee weapon. I haven't been able to try this since I don't have a microphone and my DayZ has been seriously buggy. But I think it would be hilarious to follow a guy and watch him get paranoid.

I keep getting a bug or lag spike, where I continue to get moved forward even when I stop trying to move, and when this happens I don't clip into anything, it is weird. I've lost 3 medium geared characters from this happening of 3rd story buildings and flying right through the wall. :(

It was my very first spawn, I was so excited. Finally get to try the famous/infamous DayZ, only its the standalone. So I end up spawning near Elektro. Me being fresh new spawn, didn't know the requirements of stealth :P I was wondering apartment building to apartment building. Then I see a hospital. It was a pretty populated server so I was scared, I sneak in manage to find backpack and medikit (Fuck yes!) see big building across the block to me, I climb down the ladder, jog across the block (still not giving a shit 'bout stealth.) Jog into School, clear out jam packed school. Find Mosin Nagant with 40 rounds + worn bipod (HOLY SWEET BABY JESUS YES!) so then I carry on my way ward son, :D to the west in my yellow rain coat, Motorcycle helmet. Lots of food (No can opener like always.) As I gingerly jog along the coast, admiring the beautiful low graphic scenery. (I play with low so it assures I get good FPS.) I hear a shot, stop in my tracks, Wtf? look down the coast to see a guy in camo crouched and shooting, while a guy in bright red is flanking to my right, I get prone take out my Mosin crouch, aim for fucking ages while he aims for ages too, (I don't play PC that often.) feel shot hit my chest Ohshit.jpg get my iron sights on him. Boom he goes down first shot, Then see of to my right a bright red thing moving in the bush. I bandage sneak up to it see the other guy only has a crowbar. HE didn't notcie me yet so I took aim Put one right in the back of his head, then managed to take his mountain backpack before he logs out. I had the shivers after that encounter, and it was my first other player encounter and it was glorious. 10/10 still playing DayZ as often as I can.

Meh, a little bit of a tutorial, like showing that you can combine items by dragging them on each other, but not a tutorial that holds your hand through out the hole game.

I never sprint up those firestation stairs. But one time I was walking to the top floor. No noise no one else there. "You are dead popped up" switched servers, went to another firestation, I seen a corpse on the lower part of the roof, climb down ladder, go loot him. Then again, no bullet sound nothing just instant dead.

It had just happened to me tonight, so I felt sad and decided to share. Doors and ladders work great for me though, havent had any problems with them, Just the animation for taking out my Mosin didnt allow me to stop walking so I ended up going off the edge from the roof of the hospital

So I have a story, that I'd like to share. It's not long so you can bear with me but. I had just died because of logging out in the Rify ship (BAD IDEA) so I spawned In a small town and made my way down to Elektro, where I proceeded to find 5 pistols 5 holsters 1 magnum, 3 fireaxes, 1 pistol clip. and some other survival gear. Then enter the hospital at the SW side of town. Find a beautiful baby girl laying there, just asking for me. So I picked her up, carried on upstairs to find 3 rounds to load her with. (Named her Mosy BTW.) climb up to the very top, am slowly jogging toward the edge, proceed to take out Mosy to look around for a bit, maybe break her in. Then whilst taking her out, I end up walking off the hospital because taking out my gun forced me to keep running. That's how I lost a love of my life. But it seems like other times, while I'm running it forces me to stop to take out a weapon, and would just like to say I would really love to see them go and fix that Hot bar quick selection up, because half the time it doesn't seem to work. (Story Time Over) :(

Once I had an anti stab vest, and a zombie snuck up on me and hit me, but I took no damage, and didnt start bleeding. That's all I have, of tests or proof.

I found an open train station on the east coast at about half way up the map, and one time I found that stab proof vest, its just a plain black vest, another time I found an actual Bullet proof vest. (it had item slots on it) Sadly I don't have pics, because I didnt think they where that rare of a find, but this man is telling the truth, my stab proof vest protected me from 1 zombie swing, then it got ruined. (Because it was damaged in the first place)
