I had your shift problem too, I think it happens when you have nothing in your hands and then you right click. Try right-clicking with nothing in your hands if it is happening, and it should stop. Nice story :)

Even if you stop bleeding your screen will be colorless until you either get a blood transfusion or eat and drink a lot and start healing.

So I was in Solnichniy on a half full server, and I went into an industrial building, and climbed up the stairs and went into the little room. I walk out of the room, and see a guy downstairs with a shovel. (I only have a pipe wrench). I try to hide in the room, but he inevitably walks in, notices me, and swings for the head. I'm immediately knocked out from shock, but after a few seconds of the unconscious screen, I wake up (kinda). My body is glitched so I can see around and go into my inventory, but I cannot move. (I am new to DayZ so I don't know if this is normal). The guy thinks he has killed me, as he tries to hit me a few more times (and seemingly does) but I am still not dead. He cannot loot me though, so he walks away. As he is walking to the lower level, I decide to try to talk to him. Me: "Hey dude" Him: (immediately prones) "Where are you?!" (at this point I realize he thinks I am dead, and that he thinks a different person is talking to him) Me: "I have a gun pointed at your head, stand still, face the wall, and drop your shovel, or I will shoot." He promptly logs out, obviously scared shitless, and I laugh quite a lot. I guess that shows how some people deal with Combat. This was probably the most fun I had in DayZ so far which I guess is pretty sad, but I can't wait to play more of the game. (I was able to get out of my glitched (or non-glitched) position by switching servers, before heading to NEAF and dying to a server hopper. Yay!)
