That would certainly add some depth to the newspawn immersion experience. But it would be wise from a game design standpoint to make sure that the majority of newspawns have a fair shake at making it. Broken legs would just be an insta suicide spawn without semi ample splinting material. Plus there is the clan play aspect where people who get fragged want to haul ass back to where their buddies are. Beyond loot adjustments, I think the addition of water borne illness in ground water will further make the n00b newspawn experience tougher since those big ole drinky sinks will be essentially rotten kiwis until you find a medpack to treat your water. Assuming of course that once cooking is introduced it'll be even potentially harder to scrounge all those parts together to boil water.

Can't test a game if you're dying from starvation every newspawn. It'll get adjusted.

Not that I've seen yet. Most likely survivor trash. People often strip clips and put the contents into an ammo box to carry them in 1 slot vs 2 if they already have plenty of magazines.

Dunno about random bases, but some randomly spawned bivouacs might not be game breaking. Less base like and more a squad's hastily abandoned camp with a few scattered magazines or equipment. Mostly as an enticement to go into the wilderness outside checking deer stands. Just a thought. -
Amen on the connectivity. Whenever I'm on a high population, low ping server, I get anywhere from 30-60 minutes before it dc's me. The more players in the vicinity and VOIP seem to exacerbate the problem. I was in the midst of a hilarious shakedown by the Cherno PD for illicitly stealing a beanie from a home. Handcuffed and everything. And right in the middle of their RP the server dumps me. Bummed me out since the whole reason I was running around was to see some examples of player interaction.

Yup. Any time I can get my newspawn inland alive, I'm able to find enough food to maintain a healthy status pretty easily.

Actually I've found that ruined ammo won't fire. At least not in a .357.

Again, in for a realism penny, in for a realism pound. If one of your "abuses" is gamebreaking, then so is the ability for people to coordinate without the built in hindrances to just that mechanic. -

I've found them in homes, jail/barracks and the hospitals. Essentially they're a blue and pink epinephrine pen. -

All this handwringing and bitching about "R/L" in the zombie apocalypse. KOS wah! Server hopping wah! Combat/precombat logging wah! 3rd person wah! Yet nobody blinks an eye at TeamSpeak? How R/L zombie apoc is it to have communication with some guy 200km away without a radio? Where are the cries to make SA shutdown if it senses you using 3rd party commo software? In for a realism penny, in for a realism pound. Why not have to buy the game again after you get shot? That'd be a pretty r/l consequence for death. Oh wait. It's a game! In alpha no less. And it might...just MIGHT be geared towards financial and critical success rather than satisfying those Doomsday Prepper boners who just want to dig a 1st person bunker and rub one out to their giant wall of bean cans and badly damaged canteens. -

Also the morphine injector will fix a broken leg. Tested it out last night with another random clipping fall. -
On newspawn, keep your eyes peeled for ground water. Marshes, lakes, rivers. And drink until it says you're full. After that, head inland and you'll likely score some grub pretty fast. Eat until it says you're full. After that it's smooth scrounging. I find I wind up eating/drinking to clear space in the inventory rather than from hunger/thirst.

Way fewer M4s, but magnums, Magnums, MAGNUMS EVERYWHERE! With virtually no ammo for them to be found. But 7.62 is suddenly wildly plentiful.
