A 5.56/7.62 round would go straight through one of those things. They are only meant to stop things like rocks/stones hitting police officers and only really work when there is a big line of them stuck together. With that in mind they are pretty pointless unless against an unarmed attacker, but then if you can't use one with a weapon it's still pointless! -

Post all your graphics settings up, there are certain things in the ArmA/DayZ SA engine that kill FPS that aren't really needed! If you want to do some research yourself look up ArmA 2 graphics/FPS optimisation -

I like the whole random event thing...sorta like the zombie hordes that have been mentioned. Maybe not NPCs though because Rocket has already said he doesn't want that I think. I think the bounties thing could be made by the community though if they ever bring back the pen and paper. We all decided where we want to post bounties and anyone who finds a note with a name there will start the hunt!

Adding more item with no extra server lag

I'd say this would actually put a lot of extra strain on the server. At the moment I imagine all the drawers etc are just part of the building model. They'd have to be created as extra objects within the server. That's a lot of extra information for the server to handle without adding loot in to them -
can 2 PC's in the same house use the same copy of DayZ?

A good idea for new players or players who want less pew pew is to play on lower/medium populated servers. Less chance of you running into a person who will kill you! Also, head north! -

I try not to use the DayZDB (use it when trying to meet up with friends fast and don't have a map but never when playing alone) and quite like the idea of the split maps.

Yeah this idea doesn't work at all if 2 people join a server with bases in the same location. If they have instances where you can only go in to your base it's kinda lame because then people couldn't steal your stuff? This would make dying pretty pointless as you could just collect a massive amount of everything and never worry again -

Like the idea but don't think catching would work well in the engine unless you could select your target. Then if they had space it would do it automatically

I really like the idea but instead of adding spawn points in the cities I think they should be in the forests around the map. You'd wake up and have to find out where you were! Much more fun/stressful depending on how you look at it! -
Do deer stands still spawn loot? I've not found a single one with loot in but on the dayzdb it says they do? Anyone found anything in them?

You had humanity that started at 2500 (I think). Every time you killed a player that wasn't a bandit it would go down (think bandit kills would make it decrease but by a lesser amount). It would gradually increase up to 2500 over time and you could get more by giving people blood bags/bandages. Players below 0 were bandits and above 5000 were heroes.

Don't understand how the drill gun would work in real life. Surely a more realistic thing would be a nail gun or something? But yeah I think home made weapons etc should be added for sure! -
I like this idea. Means you'd have to really watch what you are doing! Can see something like this putting a lot of load on the server (lots of sleeping zeds and dead bodies) though so would have to wait a while for it to be implemented.
