Usually problems where the FPS doesn't change with the graphics settings are to do with your CPU. ArmA 2/DayZ are CPU heavy games so that might be your problem? I don't really know hardware but looking at a benchmark from the net your CPU is pretty old. I'd imagine to increase performance you'd need to update it -

Pretty sure DayZ is set after the world has gone tits up, not just Chernarus. Interesting idea though :) I like the walkie talkie radio info idea, although most modern militaries use encrypted comms so it wouldn't be very realistic -

The DayZ SA has all of the zombies placed at server restart. In the mod the zeds spawn when you go near to a town (and despawn when you leave) so in reality there is far fewer zeds over the map. I think greater zombie numbers are planned the further the SA progresses (along with proper zombie respawning) -

Like this because it's actually how you shoot in real life! Breathe normally and only hold your breath for a second while you pull the trigger (the pauses) -

It's because they don't want to release the files to people, as people could mess with them/mod before modding support is enabled. (Pretty sure I read this somewhere) The server files will probably be released when the game is released properly -

I think this is done because they don't want to release the server files to everyone until they are complete (once it's out of alpha/beta and a full game) -
It's to stop people logging off during fire fights, which was a pretty big problem throughout the mod/at the start of the standalone

When you log out your character sits down inside the server for about 30 seconds...the 2 with you probably saw this and stole your stuff!

The dev team don't control the servers. Separate rental companies do. But I do agree that warning should be given and I have seen a few servers with it so it is possible -

I think the OP is asking why the game hangs when he closes it down, not when leaving the server. I guess it's just closing connections with the main server etc, which can take a little while? -
Completely agree with this....pretty sure 1 swing with a pitchfork to the head would ruin someone's skull!! Pick axe is similar and it'd definitely cave in a human's head! Spose it's alpha though so they aren't properly trying to balance stuff yet, just adding features

I do think the multiple layered clothing thing is an awesome idea, especially if the heat mechanic is sorted properly. Rule number 1 when trying to stay warm is layers so it makes sense. I also think unzipping clothing would be good if overheated to vent air...when on loaded marches in the army you unzip your jacket a bit and loosen off your cuffs so air circulates easier. Not so sure I'd add socks but I agree with the rest :) -
Showing your stats at the end would be a nice touch (Time alive, kills, food eaten, times bandaged etc). But agree that tracking your movement on a map would take up a lot of resources if you lived for more than a few days. Also the map could become a massive mess!

I think also no one would pick one of these over a back pack as the extra space is a higher priority. Not saying that it would hurt having it in game I just don't think it would be used often and if it did it would only be able to protect you against unarmed players really
