Yeah I know, I was stationed in Bergen Hohne (about 15 mins drive away) and a regiment Celle was part of my brigade there!!! I think the Bergen Hohne camp is even on there! I wanna go see how accurate it is!!! -

I do kind of agree with the OP...Even though it has been stated that it will be out before the end of the year there has been nothing to suggest that it is anywhere near ready...It's meant to be a full game and there isn't even a proper website yet. I know that it's only coming out as alpha but you would have thought that BIS would have at least hired a team to make the game it's own website/PR campaign etc? -
That's an admin ban from the server...you should be able to go on any other server...looks like you stole the admins chopper!

24/7 Daylight Servers... UGH?

It would be OK to play at night if you could see...I for some reason can see fine throughout the night (It's hard but I can see roads and the outlines of things) but some of my friends can just see blackness...not even the outlines of the trees. I think this is why people prefer to play in the day time. It's not realistic to see nothing at all at night. In real life your eyes adapt to night time so you can see pretty well. Running around blind = death...and in a game where there is perma death it's just not fun!!! -

I had some problems with keys not being accepted when I first started. The new player stickies threads helped me fix it. Not sure if that helps at all??

You are probably joining different private hives. These will not be connected to the main hive so each server you will have a different character on. There are no official dayz servers but there is an official dayz hive, that many servers are connected to. I recommend downloading dayz commander as you can look at recent servers joined and play on them :) i also recommend sticking to 1 private server with active admins that requires you to be whitelisted... this usually helps keep hackers away :) hope this helps?? :) -

Supermarkets for backpacks, food/drink and some basic items (compass, map, binos). Look for them in cities, they have big yellow doors along the back. A lot of players head to them though so it can be dangerous! -
Yeah on the public servers there are A LOT of scripter douches. Play on a whitelisted private hive...A lot less hackers and sometimes some additional features :)

You know that the standalone will be released in the next month or 2 right?? Also I'd advise you to play on a private hive that has a whitelist (You can usually get whitelisted by emailing the admins) as they have less of a hacker problem :) Other than that good luck and enjoy it!

How long you been playing? You playing private hives? If so you are probably the only one! lol!!! I didn't encounter a hacker for the first 2 months or so playing and then all of a sudden every time I played I was hacked! That's when I switched to private hives! -
