Gonna try again, I apologize mod if you couldn't see the first video and shut the topic without ever realizing what I wanted to achieve with it. You said post it in gallery forum because it was a video(which is posted in general forums all the time alongside pictures), but the video is more of a suggestion while also a video but I also want it generally discussed with other people, so thank you. I do feel I posted this in the right forum. However, I do appreciate the suggestion to use the gallery forum. I found a new video from youtube with the same content. I hope your country can view it Mr.Mod. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhkFz5ibVPg If you watch the video you would see I am obviously pointing out how awesome this all could be inside the world in DayZ, they even mention the "Scavenged" the parts from old tanks(there's totally none of those in this map =P ). I was wondering if anyone else thought this type of system for the widely suggested train and railroad idea would be pretty cool?! I mean, it's all there! Again, sorry mod dude. Not trying to infuriate the DayZ forum gods. Just, honestly thought this was really fitting and wanted to discuss it with people, generally. =P

Yeah, I didn't mean to.. I cant figure how to delete a post. Yeah I know there is.. but, I don't believe any offered a great video with a real life scenario that completely fit in the world of DayZ. Most suggestions i've seen are just about fixing about old actual trains. This is making a new dumbed down train that is actually practical in this situation.

I didn't say that, if you use quotations after literally quoting a thing someone said, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to try and re-quote them with something they never said... does it? I do want it in general, I also explained why, the discussion was not entirely based for one forum, I found it to be suitable in a general format. The video itself was not meant to be the main center vocal point but more so the discussion on how all this could fit into the world of DayZ. I understand I only put a video up at the start, but I figured after watching the video the discussion would start itself since most of the thoughts had been tossed around in the air. Welcome to the Thunderdome.... Cards are an amazing idea(could place cards on dead people lol) Great time killer, tons of varietys of games you could play. Poker for ammo and water/food?! There is a soccer field. And a soccer ball once the physics engine is in place, wouldn't be that hard to put in. But, what would be hard is a way to kick it. Unless they just make the ball move when its run into(no animation work for the player models or anything). Even at that basic level it would be fun. Hell, would be funny to use anywhere really. Also, Soccer is a way cooler sounding word then football. Football always sounds like a sport someone with downs(no offense) came up with. DER LES GO PLAY SUM FOOTBALL. Although..I do love me some amurica fewtball.

All of the references you are talking about you took from the ONE video I was literally talking about. The viewpoint part of the video only showed he didn't know you couldn't respond in chat or mic while uncouncious(also was still part of the lone video). The "admin" chat was actually just a chat where they talk about scripting. Scripting and using a paid for hack are different things, he also literally never says hack. One can know how to script and never use it for gaming purposes. Since, you have a guarantee. What am I awarded if you are wrong? I still won't say he does or doesn't. But, at least take in the information given to you a little better. You, take a 20 minute video a dude made from ONE video Frankie has made out of 100 and call it the bible of hack-detection. Btw how the fuck do you "take down" a video on the internet? If the dude who made the video wanted it to be known he could use many resources besides youtube if that was the case.

There's really only one video that has any kind of plausibility in the matter.. and the only evidence they had was 1 video out of his 30+ at the time(many more now), and only a certain part that video. Also all they really had to go on was the fact he had a different debug monitor and some different colored blinking lights that they "alleged" where from him running scripts. Not saying I care if he does or not. He makes entertaining videos, and yes he edits the fucking shit out of them. If he does indeed hack.. that does sadden me, because I want to believe he is doing things legit and he getting this great footage from it all that allows him to create excellent storyline videos. My biggest viewpoint on this subject is Frankie's overall skill he has shown in other games he plays. He is pretty beast in every game he plays, he's not a amateur gamer with a funny accent who just makes funny videos to video games.

With the damage being spread out into your items the way it does, and shot placement affecting certain limbs, it is very easy to survive a terrible shot. In the video Frankie is on the run so an easy shot the person did not have.. Also, Frankie has a Press Vest which is the only item in the game to have a Ballistic Protection parameter of 2.0 (ballistic helmet is 1.0, and anti-steb vest 1.0). So again another reason to survive a non-headshot(leg or arm shot would have resulted in only a broken limb and possibly unconsciousness). The Grey screen is caused by any shock damage, which is pretty much anything in the game at the moment(even zombies).

My FPS and latency where both better on the EXP branch. Client-side issue?

Yes, bullets will go through objects that can be penetrated. I tested this out on a old bus shot through it hit my friend in the head, headshot, dead. Blazer.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the guns... all dynamic damage parameters. Both with limb damage being added and new damage guidelines from your inventory. I've killed around 12 people with 1 shot with every type of main weapon save the m4. I have also been shot various places, and both lived and died. The architecture that is set up at the moment, while may not be 100% the best.. it's pretty fricken sweet. It's a lot more accurate then people are giving it credit for at the moment and that could be where all the negativity is coming from.. It's just you wouldn't expect it to be doing what it is doing. Yes, it needs some tweaking. But, the way its registering where you are getting hit and the skeleton its using to do is pretty money! Edit: The back and front thing I didn't know about..that sucks :/ But, all is well with hope!
