Well, I've seen people who actually go around with the basic stuff you need for surviving just looking for human interaction, because they're tired of military stuff. Hell, I've done that. But after this patch I wanted to see the new military clothing and guns so I decided to go loot the airstrips again while looting some towns on the way. There's all kinds of people playing DayZ, so I didn't really know if it was sarcasm.

You say whatever you want, but I personally find military clothing, boots and some guns very beautiful to look at, hell I have some camo pants in real life with boots and it's really comfortable to wear. It's not just about quality or how powerful something is.

Last time I had gear like that I ended up commiting suicide after a while, so I can go back to being a simple newspawn with more action, since it's lonely in the north. But I love military clothing and how it looks, DayZ makes it look well too. So, I usually go kill&get killed so I can have something to look for again.

Last time I did it it was 2 maybe 3 patches ago, and your character just drops the backpack and gun in the water with no chance of getting it back. It floats.

That is why I made this thread. I wanted MORE PEOPLE to do it and show their gear. Not to get attention on mine only.

Listen here, Mr. Pro. How the fuck do you know what servers do I join? There is no way you could know. That's just dumb, What if a newspawn punched a geared guy and took all his amazing gear, is he also a server hopper who joins 0/40 servers? Huh, Mr. Pro? I said the point of this thread is to, invite people to show their gear if they want to share it. For fucks sake, if it annoys you people so fucking much having this in GD then an admin will come by and move it to the Gallery. In DayZ I visit lots of places, castles, mountains, and nice spots just for curiosity since this game is getting boring, if I come by an arfield, I'll loot the shit out of it, and keep on travelling. That's how you get gear that good. With time, luck and different places.

I don't think joining a different server each 8 hours or so is server hopping.

Yes, drink and eat until your energized and hydrated indicators are bright-green, and you'll enter healthy mode, where you'll eventually recover the blood you've lost by whatever cause.

By the way, north is abandoned, lots of people just take the easy way of "Coast-Elektro-Cherno-Balota-get back and slaughter the previous cities preventing people from doing what you did". I like Chernarus, my character is well hidden on the north.

Why did I have to server hop to get that? You can't get nice gear without server hopping? I never join the same server 2 times, it took me 4 sessions, from 2 days ago 'till last night.

You know you could have hit him in the back of his neck, avoiding being hit and bleeding. Each time he gets up, you hit him again so he falls over. That's old news. Any DayZ player knows how to do that.

And what if the local zombies help him instead of you? Even if you go quiet, zombies have psychic powers and will chase you instead of anyone else they see after you, making you an easier target to spot.

It's actually 1 shot. I think zombies should be killed headshot only, making you bleed in one hit. The undead I do not fear, as long as they're behind a screen.

I like the 1 hit bleed idea, it was like that when I started playing the SA so I have no problem. It just doesn't fit in my head that a reanimated dead corpse is that strong. I just imagine that they long, sharp nails, so when they hit me, it's like being stabbed.

One hit bleed is the original way it's supposed to be like. Hit detection is shit and unrealistic. Just deal with it, it'll be patched later, meanwhile, you can learn how trick the zombies as they are now. It's not that difficult.

If you're talking about DayZ, I don't think there'll be large roaming hordes. People's computers struggle with DayZ as it is right now. If you're talking about a zombie apocalypse, maybe, maybe not, they're not that accurate..unless you go close quarters shooting slow dumb zombies with a 200-round belt.

Me neither. Not really accurate and quite useless unless it's a man vs man huge clan war. It eats ammo like a beast. Which makes it even worse for a zombie apocalypse.

Just wanted to tell you about a very annoying bug in this recent patch, for people who don't server hop much. Once you get some experience, you realise that you don't need to carry all the food or sodas you find, you just eat/drink on the spot. Well, I do this since there's much more benefit to the character. The thing is, in this new patch, when you do it, you'll realise that a slot in your inventory is no longer usable, as if there was something, but you don't see it. The fix is log out and in again, and the food/drink you consumed will appear in that slot in your inventory at 0% left, you can take it out now, fixed. So, next time you eat on the spot where you find the loot put it in your inventory first. [Random Tactical Bacon Time] Deelicious!
