  1. Simple question, are you happy with the current loot drop rate? I myself think it's OK. People complained about not having anything to do, well guess what, now you got something to do...Survive

I just think the blood system needs to go...

I like the system and believe it's the one thing that sets it apart from a lot of the other FPS out there. Without it, this game would be just like every other FPS out there. Perhaps you should watch all of Merino's guides. Once you understand how eating/drinking works, it makes surviving much easier. If you want a summary of what Merino says it's "eat everything you come across when you come across it and drink often." When you first spawn, make your way to a water pump and drink until you get the stuffed message. From that point on, try to drink every 20 minutes or so. If you get the Really Stuffed message, STOP eating drinking (I think now they have a stuffed indicator that is color coded.) Hope that helps
  3. Vice going through the wall....for the last two zombies that attacked me while I was in a building. I was in Lopatino looking for some food in one of the farm houses there when I heard the typical Zombie mating sound (you know the one where they are telling you they are about to try and jump on you and hump your leg.) Anyway, I pulled out my Fire Axe, got ready and low and behold, the MF'er came through the door (vice the wall.) Dispatched him and went outside and aggroed another zombie and made a run for a building. This one too went through the door instead of the wall (made her run alone the outside of the building.) Next I'll have to see if they can surmount that most devious of obstacles... STAIRS =)

Huzzahh, Zombies walk through doors now

DING DING DING, This. I was not complaining about what zombies have done in the past but, praising what they seem to be doing at the moment. Time will tell if the Zombie no clip problem has been fixed. And to Disgraced, I don't even go near that killer of men know as the ....ladder =)

    Mosin

from my experience, Schools and Fire Houses seem to be the best place to find the Mosin. I did see one spawn in the police station in Polana once but, have never seen it there again. Probably best to get a long range scope before you go creeping for a Mosin. Those are typically found around airfields.

So this happened. No man Is an Islad

Sorry to say, but that made me laugh. Hope your next spawn provides you a much better play experience

Why some people even do play DayZ ?

Guess I'll be staying away from Vybor for the time being. Come to think of it, where is exactly is a good sniping position there?

Unarmed fighting needs to be severely nerfed

Chuck Lidell would like to have a chat with you about one hit knock outs

    More zombies less axes?

Strange, in my travels through Stary, Vybor and surrounding areas, I've seen a lot less Zombies. So much so, that I thought someone had been through already. All the doors where closed though and both schools had an M-4.

    two simple KOS resolutions

Nothing is ever going to fully stop KOS. It is as much a part of the DayZ universe as Zombies. While I do not agree with KOS Babies, I understand why one would KOS others that are caring firearms. For now, it's the only thing that keeps the tension high in this game.
  11. Maybe instead of permeant injury, players would trip and fall a lot more (and thus making a lot of noise.) Maybe if you trip, you could drop and item...or two. I guarantee that would heighten the fear factor of this game (once they make zombies more bada$$.)
  12. I think your idea is great and the idea about ambient lighting makes a lot of sense. That being said, I think that night time will already be unpopular. Having people getting hurt while playing at night will only decrease peoples enthusiasm to play at night.
  13. One perk might be that wearing "ruined" clothing provides just as much protection "pristine" (wearing pristine clothing would provide no additional protection.) This would allow characters that have been around along time the option to have that ratty hobo look (beard and all.)

    Why you can't trust anyone.

My a$$hole went out the clappers is it? I like it. Have to use that one. Like others have said, trust no one. If you want to have a "friendly" interaction, ALWAYS have the upper hand. Take for instance, your buddy should have ordered the other guy to stay down the stairs and put his M4away or he would have gotten shot. It's also worth noting that anytime a player say's they are friendly they are probably just trying to lull you into complacently.

    Starting equipment

I think everybody should spawn with the completed map (no reason not too as there are complete maps online) Further, if you gave everyone a very generalized location of were they are when they spawned, you could start spawning people off the coast.

    Silenced Weapon

This Just because you can cancel the sound of the weapon firing, you can't stop the sound of the round breaking the sound barrier. The M4 silencer is working as intended.
  17. Happend to me too. Logging in took like 5 minutes so, I canceled and went back to the server select screen and picked another server. When I spawned, I was on the beach with all my gear gone. Sucks but it does happen. Not pissed about it because it's Alpha and all.

An Open letter to the new guys

I'd just like to see a counter added to show me how long my guy has been alive. No achievements or any of that crap, just an indicator for my own personal satisfaction. The other (and I know its coming and this is just alpha) but Zombies that are actually a threat. Right now they are only a useful indicator to let you know that no one has looted the area you are in (and no Bandits are about.) Yesterday I killed 4 Zombies at the same time with a pipe wrench (circle strafe and kept swinging). Pretty sad really.

    The Worst Day of Alpha..

My worst day was a couple of days ago. Had a guy that had been alive for quite some time and was all geared out. Logged in to play with a friend and after taking more than 5 minutes to log in, I found my self on the coast... with no gear. To make matters worst, every time I spawned after that (for that day), I would get killed by invisible Zombies. Could hear them, just not see them. 2nd worst was yesterday. Had spawned in electro, got some gear (dodged a couple of bandit groups) and was making my way up north. Saw fresh spawn having a hard time dealing with a Zombie (or so I thought) and I stopped to help. Within seconds his buddy comes running outta nowhere and they both beat me unconscious. Lesson learned, F*#K everyone. Next time I ain't helping anyone

    What dose "friendly" even mean?

Friendly doesn't mean anything. If you have a fire arm, you are a threat, plain and simple. The only people I show quarter too are those that only have melee weapons. If someone has a gun and I get the drop on them, I "try" to give them a chance to drop their weapon and then I'll let them run away. Other wise, it's good times at the O.K. Corral.

    Server hoppers: A renewable resource.

My idea to curb server hoppers would be to limit the amount of times you can change servers in a day and put a timer before you can connect to another. The timer would be for one hour and begin counting down as soon as you connected to the server. Example 1: You log in, play for one hour, five minutes. At this point you could leave the server you're on and connect to a new server. Example 2: You log in and play for twenty minutes. At this point you still have another 40 minutes before you could connect to a new server. (connecting to same server is still immediate.) To deter combat loggers: I say put a 30 second cool down where your character is still killable/loot-able after you DC (aka Hit Alt F4). Leaving in the normal fashion begins a 30 second count down before going to the game menu.
  22. It could be worst. In reality you would have to put down your pack/weapon in order to get the most accurate reading. When I use it, I bring it up/get my bearings, pick a land mark on the horizon, put my aiming reticule on it, then run toward that landmark. Works like a charm. I also only use it when I'm going "off road"
