lol The cool thing is in dayz you can make whatever decisions you want... The difference between this game though and real life is that in the game the person you murdered is going to be alive again soon... In real life they are dead forever...

the friendliest players are the ones without weapons =p If you see someone fully geared and ready for combat just shoot them when you can unless you are really confident in your combat skills... If you see an unarmed player have fun with them but let them live... Seriously... =p

In my experiences, the word "Friendly" in the Dayz SA can really mean anything... The lingo doesn't matter anymore... Being able to be well enough equipped and experienced enough to protect yourself in the game is more important. When me and my friends are roaming dayz fully geared we consider ourselves to be quite a "Friendly" bunch... We may stop a survivor and use them for our experiments to see what a certain liquid in a certain syringe really does to a person... Or we may use them for a few bloods bags but we always have extra gear to give to the survivors that participate in our experiments and such. I personally enjoy giving away that extra vest or pristine combat boots i found last time i was in the airfield... The only person we killed outright was a man we ambushed on a highway we asked him several times to surrender and lay down he ignored our demands so we wasted him. In this game it's hard to let that fully armed man pass by you when you know it may be that same person to shoot you in the back 15 or 20 minutes from now... I think this is a game in which killing is expected it's the tactics used to come out on top that are in question... I never ever say hey we are friendly... If i plan to take a prisoner for our own agenda. I simply say stop and surrender we won't kill you if you comply... We then explain to them what we plan to use them for and then we either handcuff them and do what we want or we shoot them while they run away... When you take control of a situation and the prisoner is no longer a threat shooting them in the face after telling them you are friendly or that you wont shoot them is quite ridiculous and low even for a game...

There are not helicopter crashes in the SA and there will never be scripted events in the servers according to rocket. The only heli crashes i would be expecting in the dayz standalone is player caused crashes. There is of course crashed vehicles, Including helicopters, throughout the map in which loot may spawn... This is not a scripted event it's simply just part of the map and is nothing significant. If you want good loot in the SA go to the military bases, fire stations, and hospitals upon fresh restarts of the servers.

In the mod yes it is very possible to retrieve your body just remember it only stays until it's hidden or the server restarts... In the standalone it seems like the body disappears when you click respawn... So if you want to get your things off your corpse have a friend get the things before respawning. You can drag unconscious players but not bodies of dead players...

Rocket never stated that the game is currently worth $30.00 matter of fact i saw a post that had rocket's response on it himself... When asked is the game currently worth it? Rocket's opinion??? They deserve a holiday I think we all are excited to see them return though 2014 is going to be a great year for DayZ and Rocket's dev team.

I think i can help... Ill message you my steam user and walk you through troubleshooting... EDIT: Something you can attempt before reaching out to me is to underclock your gpu bout 40mhz... This is a simple solution to many gpu black screen issues... Give it a try and let me know how it goes

I love how humble you are Rocket keep it up you have set the bar high and I am excited to see the progress now that the alpha has been released. I have put some time into the game now and can easily say that I am having experiences that make me feel the way dayz mod did originally... With this being said i don't have to worry about a script user running by me with rainbow smoke shooting out of his butt or the whole server being spawned in one location and being killed... Keep it up cannot wait until I am flying a helicopter around chernarus.

Then find yourself a vest and keep the compass in your vest readily... lol... If you are saying this is too inconvenient then just put the compass on your hot bar and press a button to see the compass if you are too lazy to do that then i suggest playing call of duty or bf4... I respect your argument, but I am left confused after reading it because you seem to favor realistic gameplay, on the other hand it seems like you would rather have a hud... I think rocket has done great things by making you respect the fact that your character only has two hands and two eyeballs... Being able to simplify the hud down to the sole character and inventory is something many games have attempted but i think dayz alpha has done it best thus far...

I just make sure to be at a military loot area when the server refreshes. Everytime the server refreshes so does all the loot and zombies... If you are first into the barrack you are able to get first pickins... Just watchout because everybody else is thinking the same thing =p Just be aware of your surroundings and if in doubt sprint and zig zag... hehe EDIT: I just realized this question may be for the mod not the alpha my mistake... The loot and the zombies respawn in the dayz mod for arma 2 OA whenever all of the loot is gone from the inside of the building... The Zombies spawn whenever players enter the location i believe it's 300 meters allthough i may be wrong. Do to this all you must do in the mod is completely empty the barracks leave for 15 minutes or so and return to the barracks if done correctly new fresh loot will spawn...

Hey everyone, The Bean Man here... I was roaming chernarus with some friends last night when we stumbled into Novy Sobor, and what do we see? A large group of zombies chasing an unarmed man with a white shirt on... So what do we do being the good samaratins we are... We killed those damn zombies and helped that poor man out... Since we saved his life we decided he could donate some blood to our cause right? " Lay Down And we will let you live... " He hesitates then he complys with our demands... We handcuff him and withdrew four liters of blood from him... He didn't even complain so I decided to drop a black tactical vest for him along with some food, drinks, and bandages. We unhandcuffed him and allowed him to gather the gear he thanked us and we moved on... Too bad his blood type wasn't compatible with my friend =p Now my friend has blood poisoning =p Loving the standalone!!!
