I came across these two zombies just south of Berezino. The female zombie was laying it into the male zombie, and I just looked at this argument and felt the guys pain... just look at the anguish on his face! "Marriage. OMG, I just realized that I have the whole thing recorded! LOL I'm going to try and upload it tomorrow... it's 2am now and I might end up in the same situation if I don't get my ass to bed.

Yeah, I had a mosin and found a shotgun in the piano house, which was conveniently beside a hacksaw - I sawed off the shotgun and now it fits in my hunter backpack :)

I voted performance because the others seem to be a few patches away from being fixed (like combat logging and the recent character wipes), but performance seems like the least likely to be fixed because it could very well be a limitation of the engine. I play some pretty graphically-intensive games and never do I have to run them at low/lowest graphic settings - except this game. -
The two times I've tested, it's been A+.

What DayZ also needs to be even more realistic?

I'd like an encumberment system where inventory items have weight to them and carrying a lot of weight slows you down and/or increase the rate at which your energy/stamina decreases. I'm also looking forward to weather that can effect your gear/performance, like wetness, temperature, fog, etc. -
Using a third-party map to play a game illustrates perfectly that there is a problem... Did you come from the DayZ Mod or was this the first time ever playing DayZ? I find it hard to believe that a complete n00b would figure these things out on the first play. Most people I encounter in the game can't even tell what direction north is, let alone find specific towns while running through a forest unaided.

I'm not talking about how I play, I'm referring to how a new player would find this current spawn system a poor choice. Not everyone has time to pour over forums, read wikis or watch videos in order to learn all the tricks, some just want to play. I can't wait to see what the official manual looks like when this game is released :o Heading inland doesn't work unless you have a map. Currently, you starve to death before finding a town by chance.

Without a map, Mogilevka, et. al, aren't options. Berezino is often picked clean because everyone is spawning near it and getting to cherno while avoiding KOS players takes approx. 40 minutes running, 25 minutes sprinting, assuming you don't starve to death before making it and assuming you run a straight line to get there (again, not possible without a map)... I never suggested we spawn in major cities, but more than a few spawn points on the east coast or inland would be nice.

Since yesterdays patch, I've spawned in two different places, both just south of Berezino. Was the new patch suppose to fix something with spawn locations? To add, I had several people asking me to kill them last night, just so they could respawn (hopefully) in a better spot. Posts like this seem pretty relevant in voicing user opinions, but I'm sure the devs have no intention of keeping the current spawn system the way it is. .

"Session lost" when going back to my previous dead body

This is the first time I've gone back to seek revenge for someone killing me and when I returned back to where I was killed, I got kicked from the server with a "session lost" message the moment I clicked on my previous self's body. This this a bug? Feature? Singularity? Here's what happened: -

I've never just been dumped back to the server list and always get a "red chain" before a server reset message comes up, but if you've tested it and it didn't crash, then I might have been unlucky. I just wasn't sure if it was some kind of anti-exploit thing that kicks players for looting their previous body. Nothing like this has been reported in the bug tracker. -
Since the new patch, it seems like I have three different "profiles" going now... I have my fully-equipped character, a new female character with moderate stuff on her and a new black guy spawn... I can't tell which will pop up when I go into a server - I thought it was merely "regular" and "hardcore", but it's not. Could the devs please add an option to either see which "profile" you'll be playing with (even a simple P1, P2, P3) next to the server list and add the option to filter servers based on the profile that'll be used?

Were you on the experimental build before, cause that resets your settings. I just tried the new patch and for the first time in a while, I've noticed terrible frames in places I shouldn't be getting terrible frame rates... I'm on "low" or "disabled" for just about everything and it wasn't this bad before. :-/

Considering that most of the map is out of major cities, bear spray would be realistic and would give a somewhat ranged non-lethal option (perhaps blurring vision of your target).

What program for CPU,GPU and FPS ingame.

I always keep tabs on my FPS, GPU temp, GPU usage, CPU usage and RAM while playing... helps me to benchmark in realtime and it's cool to have the info. -
Then it should be realistic for EVERYONE... I was in an experimental server last night and it was pitch black, but I had other players around me saying "I can see you" and it was only until I turned my flashlight on that I saw them - and they weren't that close to me. If adjusting brightness, graphic, gamma settings gives someone an advantage at night, it's defeats the point of "realism".

Dean reported that server performance in the last build has been great and hinted this will result in more zombies. It sounds like it will result in more players too :) I'd love to see a player cap of 200-300. In a map this huge, it would be welcome. -
