I've played since the beginning of the mod on this computer with frames around 25 fps. Has my hardware just gone out of date, or is the game just poorly optimized in its current alpha state?

Are there any left out there? I browsed though the Dayz launcher an it seems like all of them are gone and have been replaced by Epoch...

I think I talked to you about a year ago and played on your server! It was fun but no one was ever really on. I wish there were more people interested.

Just wondering, has anyone played on a vanilla Taviana Dayz mod server recently? I used to play on one several months ago but they all seem to have gone down as far a I know. Any Taviana players on a good server currently or planning on starting one up?

Wouldn't it be easier to simply just run the vanilla version rather than tweaking the actual Epoch mod? Sorry I don't have any experience running servers so I'm just wondering. If you used Epoch what would be different from vanilla?

Oh, so would there be no way no use the vanilla Taviana setup? Honestly, I am not really a huge fan of the Epoch mods and was more looking for an unmodded version of Dayz. I feel like a lot of people are kind of frustrated the way those mods went with the original game.

I'd definitely be interested in a vanilla Taviana server. I'm sure there's other players out there who would definitely join in.

Did that server ever start up? Or was it just more of an idea?

I was never a fan of the Overwatch mod or mods similar to it because it never really felt like you were playing Dayz. I know Taviana hasn't been updated in very long, but I really enjoyed playing it. I wish some old players would group up and make another server because it would be a lot of fun.

Should this graphics card (in title) even able to run Dayz at decent frames? I have played with it lately and had very poor performance on the lowest of settings. I understand the game is in alpha and not fully optimized yet. Is the card it holding performance back or maybe something else?

Ok, thanks for the advice. Also, what type of frames should i expect from an upgrade like that? Currently I'm between 15 to 20 on all low settings with shadows and other effects disabled.

The budget would probably be around $200. I know my processor is a quad-core, but is it still considered lower-end?

Thats' really strange, I have a quad core processor 3.6ghz and 8gb of ram. I guess it must be the card? I'm getting around 12-15 frames near cities and about 20 indoors

Yes, i understand it is definitely not an ideal gaming card. How out of date is it? Is it a miracle I'm even able to run the game?
