    I don't consider it a solution because it doesn't really seem realistic. In the wilds there is low and high grass, and I wouldn't mind them using a combination of both. They could use the alpha layer trick on the higher grass to make it performance friendly.

    I've not really noticed the big advantage of the guaranteed message system. I still rubberband, I still get massive desyncs that seem to be even worse now. Nope, not liking it one bit.

    Weak Melee weapons

    There's a large difference between zombies being dangerous, and zombies being an annoyance. Zombies being dangerous - Good Zombies actually taking some skill to kill now - Good Zombies taking multiple headshots to kill - Bad Zombies making no sound - Bad Going through walls - Extremely bad It's an alpha, but during the alpha I'd rather see zombies being nerfed than being a huge annoyance until some basic features are atleast in.
  5. Handguns are more reliable in CQB than most rifles. In my opinion they shouldn't be all that more common than rifles, simply because they are that good.

    I don't think it's correct to compare the bullet velocity with the moment the zombie falls over. Bodies in DayZ may drop down only after considerable delay.

    I don't mind the night, but currently the gameplay isn't really focussed on night time at all. 1. Zombies are still too bugged to consistently avoid using stealth or cover. 2. There aren't any items or events that encourage me to try out night time. Waiting for the persistent items and fortifications that make it worth it to defend a particular area. Also night time should probably affect zombie behaviour. 3. Accelerated time isn't on all servers yet I think, it's unclear to me how to pick a server with a certain time schedule. And of course the gamma exploit is of course a large discouragement.

    Both die at the same time?

    The problem with people not instantly dying, is that it's probably a bug and not a feature. In real life people don't always die instantly, but at the same time there are plenty of cases where they aren't able to return fire anymore. If it's a feature, it needs a clear way of avoiding it too.

    Kill on sight bandits go for high traffic areas, it doesn't really matter to them whether it's the airport or the starting towns, they just want to kill players. And to be honest, if you know where to look you'll have a gun and ammo in your first 5 minutes of starting as a fresh spawn.

    Climbing the top of the ATC, as soon as I was on the ladder I glitched to the ground, glitched back upto the ladder and the game just mentioned that I had died on the ladder.

    The art of hunting, whether it be players or animals in real life requires a lot of waiting for an opportunity to arise. I'm sure the bandits among us have all killed on sight at one point, whether it's just for the satisfaction of placing a careful shot, or if you're shooting others to loot their bodies. But the point here is that camping is an essential part in gaining an advantage over other people as you get to decide your vantage point and cover before the battle starts. It's not like it's uncounterable, if you scout properly and make them miss their shots by zigzagging, you can flank and counter attack almost anywhere in DayZ, and the few places this isn't possible, players end up being stuck anyways.
  13. I generally stick to official servers that have their country of origin in the title, such as "DayZ UK 2-124" and have a low ping. This prevents abuse from badmins that reset your character on joining. Also I found that some countries seem to have much more reliable performance than others. This is different for each individual, even my friend who lives near me experiences different problems on different servers. Servers with player counts below maximum usually have less people joining and leaving.

    Not really, this is an alpha so I fully expect some rough gameplay. The wallglitching will eventually be fixed. I do however despise cheaters that use wallhacks to shoot people through walls.

    I don't like 500 second timers, a maximum of 300 seconds by disconnecting just once is more than plenty.

    I have no idea why they decide to slap an even longer timer than before, considering that most times I see the timer is because I get session lost from a server that can't stay stable. Also if you're wondering about my connection, there's probably few places in the world with more stable and fast connections than here.

    Reduce sway of bipodded weapon in prone

    It's a non issue since you can reliably hit people at 500 meters while crouching. They should implement it, but there's bigger fish to fry in the alpha.

    Well, now I am stuck in a wall.

    Funny enough I got stuck there once in the exact same location and I simply couldn't get out after trying for like half an hour. I did eventually get out when I dropped all my gear inside lol. It was in a town near northwest.

    There's no reason to cheat, the hill next to solnichniy has plenty of good locations to snipe people.

    Let's for example look at Russia, do you really think that they don't have some Mauser K98 lying around somewhere? Point is that there's always going to be a few weapons that aren't native to the country. As long as it's a rare sight, and not something you see every day I don't think there's a real immersion breaker here.

    What exactly is the problem with a thermal vision AS-50? Provided of course it's extremely rare loot(1 per hive) and will not be in the game until the global loot system is also in the game.

    What is the speed of the player?

    Disagreed, I don't think anyone should just be able to "teleport" to another alive player. But if you want to play together with friends, you should atleast be able to party and spawn in the same town as new spawns. Remember, if two people spawn, it's still two mouths to feed. With food scarcity, it may even be harder for groups of players to survive together when starting out.
