Ultra realism Vs Balanced game design

If I did not want the most realistic experience possible I'd play something else, even if at times its "less fun" its still what I want. As it is now for example its still to easy, not enough z's, not enough incentive to stay alive, and bullets still don't kill efficiently enough. Not to mention the ballistic failures. The only gamey feature I want is time compression for certain activities aka, getting over illness, eating, gutting kills things of that nature. However I think you should have to choose how to gut the kill, fix the vehicle etc. The need to diagnose an non running vehicle for example would be a great addition.

Am I old or is the Acog wrong?

In the military we always zeroed for 300 meters, its basically an arc shaped trajectory but yeah its flat enough to hit what you aim for

Am I old or is the Acog wrong?

The one in the game is not the same as the one we where issued in the 82nd Airborne but I can not speak for other models, ours had a red chevron with BDC

What are your thoughts on the FNX 45?

Its a good gun, its fine that the damage is so low, what is not fine is the range. It needs an accuracy buff, it should be at least accurate out to 50 meters, my girlfriend can hit a target at 50 meters with all of my handguns.

    How to loot without interuption

Very true, I saw a guy spawning into the barracks in the base south of nwaf, I watched him through a window and fired my .45 into the air, he disappeared instantly. I have to hand it to them, these combat loggers have alt f4 down to an art.
  6. Find the area you want to loot (preferably not balota only server hoppers there.) Fire off some rounds, everyone around you has now combat logged and you have the loot all to yourself.

    Sniper Rifles

God some people are so retarded, saying your arms would fly off etc. trying to fire an as50 without training. Let me tell you something, having fired a Barret .50 cal. It has less recoil than my 7mm mag hunting rifle. Mabey your just a bunch of Europeans who have never seen a gun, mabey your just stupid Americans who want to pretend yo know it all. This is a zombie survival in Russia with military bases around, if anything does not fit its the m4. There would be an Ak in every corner and svd's and rpg's would be common on bases, all of these weapons DO fit the scenario.

    Zombies: Standalone vs. Mod

Where is the part where they do not have to find a break in a fence to run through it and dont need doors to enter buildings, these are my biggest gripes with the ai with standalone

I see you are in Bragg, I'm interested in knowing what unit your in? I was in the 1/504 PIR, 82nd Airborne.

Your just drinking the coolaid and going to extremes with terminology, stopping=debilitating. I do not mean "knock-back power" which is the term that really does not exist. When I say stopping power, I mean someone is no longer able to respond. Your the type of guy TLW who sits at his computer and searches for people to argue against. I have real life experience I don't need to see a youtube video. I have seen people get shot, with and without body armor in get this REAL LIFE.

The only solution for DayZ: Simulation.

As a real life mechanic, I love this idea. I would love to see you have to actually diagnose the fault and not just have it say spark plugs "condition bad" I would also like to see you have to know where the components where on the engine and have to go through some steps to replace the part that have some bearing on real life. Making someone like me feel more important to the survival of others, and perhaps creating a comunity aspect where it would be benificial for people to have an in game trade (mechanic, pilot, medic, farmer, etc.)

    Stream Sniping A Huge Problem

How do people even find the server he is playing on?

    Coming out to my clan

Well I have no problem with other peoples sexual orientation, I do not know that I would like to play in a clan with an openly gay man. Not that I would be disgusted or anything, just that it is my preference not too, it is just more fun for me when we can all complain about our wives/girlfriends and have that in common. With that being said, I don't see the need to "come out" to your clan, what they don't know wont hurt them, and it's not like they really have a bearing on your personal life anyway. Honestly the fact that you feel like you NEED to come out to them makes it seem like you are just wanting the "drama" or to seek some kind of attention, positive or otherwise. I also don't understand why gay guys for the most part always have to create this ridiculous way of talking, why not just talk like a man? After all you guys like MEN right?

    Getting the spawn spawns.

Pretty simple head east, up the coast until you hit neaf, by that time you will have absolutely everything you need as those towns are rarely looted and the biggest town in the game (forget the name) is on the way with 2 stores and the ship wreck which usually includes a mosin. People have this stupid idea that you have to go to balota or cherno to gear up.

    .357 op

Basically power is calculated off of bullet weight and velocity, with energy retention being based off of expansion of the round. People who think the .45 and .357 mag are comparable lack the knowledge to make that claim. An average .45 with a 4 inch barrel has a muzzle energy of 480 ft. Lbs. A .357 magnum 160 grain is 900 ft lbs. The M4 with a .223 muzzle energy is 1700 ft. Lbs. However the fmj has little energy retention due to what is known as ice picking at close range, in and out. For comparison a .44 magnum can get as high as 2000 ft. Lbs. With a 330 grain bullet weight. The mosin nagant 7.62x54R muzzle energy is 2700 ft. Lbs. So the bottom line? The guns are balanced just fine, in my opinion the only guns currently in the game that should not one hit kill at less than 35 meters are the m4 due to low energy retention caused by overpenetration, and the .45 due to lack of muzzle energy, and lack of velocity neccisarry for hydrostatic shock. I have been a firearms owner and enthusiast for 15 years and spent 5 years in the 82nd Airborne division with 2 combat tours I have personally witnessed a .223 hit a target and them still capable of firing back
