It was a lot faster! Not sure why but things seem to be running more smoothly! Not complaining just thought I would tell everyone how happy I am about it and How much I am Loving being a survivor!

What I find fun is when I start at the coast, I work out where I am on one of the online maps, then plan a journey from that point, working out which towns I will visit etc. That way you always know where your heading. If you do get lost look at the last place you were and look at the map compared to what you see. Identify larger buildings in towns or look for the road signs as your leaving/entering I know they are in Russian but you can see the English equivalent on the maps. Its really good fun exploring and tracking progress, Personally I have now ventured the furthest north I have ever been and plan to go further Just need to work out which direction to go first!

Its tough I want to be a nice and meet people.. But So far I have only been met with death or I ran before they could say anything.. I guess it comes down to survival of the fittest.. which is basically why I have restarted at least twice a day...

What graphics card should i buy to run DayZ?
DustyMacd replied to IHaavoC's topic in Technology/Programming
I use the Nvidia Gforce GTX 650 and while not at high settings I get by good enough! :) -
As it stands I love this game.. I agree with everything you have said but most of it is the nature of Alpha. My biggest problem is finding a group to hang about with due to time constraints. I do set my self goals as suggested for example.. I plan a route that takes me past different water sources looting towns etc.. Although I have to admit my characters never last longer than an hour as I am that bad at avoiding death.. :| ... I am going to have a good read of that food guide as I find the need for replenishment quite task consuming. All In All I would say this is a simulator rather than a game and I love it.

I am downloading Team Speak and added you to Steam desperate for some people to play with on DayZ -
I have yet to meet a friendly person.. but that doesn't bother me.. As I have yet to really get far enough to earn something worth loosing.. Also usually it is the zombies that get me as my hits never seem to hurt them and I can never get new blood
