How does one deploy the bipod? Mine just stays limp against the barrel. Or is that enough to effect the game?

So since the new patch came out, my character was about 2 hours of gameplay behind from where I left off. (I am currently south of Zelenagorsk when I was originally at military base SE of Pavlovo) Anyone else experience this issue?

confirm, cannot get onto daytime server, daytime servers are dark. ALL servers dark.

I remember bank notes are were mentioned in the mod (via a DayZ wiki). Let me just say this. I will rob/murder people for their currency only to destroy it. An actual currency has no place in a post-apocalyptic world. Currencies such as cash and bank notes are only given their value due to the government backing them. A bartering system is a much more realistic approach to the DayZ economy.

I am absolutely against the idea of a timer to log out. HATED it in D3. I can't come up with another solution. Perhaps a 30 sec timer before rejoining a server?

Firstly I believe the OP meant for the books to be an in-game way of learning how to perform certain mechanics, not as a type of "skill-check" to allow you to perform these actions or not. If so then I absolutely agree. This is a way to learn how the game plays without alt-tabbing and using your Googler. This would be a fantastic idea! The medical book could contain; How to administer/when to use Saline, Epi, Morphine etc.; Blood type chart; tips for avoiding sickness; nutrition etc... A military book could contain examples of weapons and their attachments, as well as tips on survival, and explain how to start a fire, set up a tent etc... A mechanic book could list tools and their uses, as well as charts on vehicles, and I cannot think of what else. -edit- in lieu of changing everyones books when a new weapon or item is listed, the old ones could become out of print, (i.e. volume 2, 3…)
