I Like your ideas and I think they would make for a better game play experience. The message would work for the person who has stopped the other from spawning in at your exit position from thier last session. And for the person spawning in they do not require a message as they will know some one is close as they have moved from there original log out position. The person coming in who has been moved should always come back in to the game in cover. This way both parties have a better chance to avoid each other if they want, but if they want to hunt each other down they will still have to find each other as neither party will know the exact location of the other person only that they are close at that point in time. It will be either shoot or scoot time.

The coast is not s good place to spawn as that is the main spawn area so has been looted to hell. I got one up on the nw side of the map and have found loads of food as not many people make it in that far. All my deaths have been on the coast from starvation or zeds. Once you have taken some damage by them you cant heal as you are unable to gain the required energy. And yes I have done the fruit picking bit and tryed to run away from them. Running from zeds is a double edge sword as you burn energy up quickly so its starve or be beaten to death what a choice lol. I even headed in land straight from the start, but zeds spotted me from afar and hunted me down. I made the mistake of running up hill. I slowed down, but they didn't lol so ended up brown bread.

I was doing ok got close to south west airfield, Looted some of the towers got light green energy and dark green thirst. My health was not good and could I get healing started, Like fuck could I. left the flat with 3 zeds chasing me. Tried to lose them in the forest just north of the airfield. Lost sight of them then did a 90 degree turn ran down the hill for a bit still in the treas then stopped. It was raining so decided to fill my canteen up. Did this twice when I hear the zeds coming. What the fuck they are really really good at tracking now. Haven't lost a zed yet when running away from them. Up shot I died as I could not take them out as the movement bug had hit me as well as lag. I have a bleed wound so run to get some distance then bandage myself. Could I stand to run again, no lag gets me then the zed kills me. I would love to know what this exp version is trying to prove. Yet again they release something with a shed load of bugs and run away for the weekend.

I have to hand it to the devs they have made the game realistic with the loot, but it is not much fun as a game. I have been through svetlo and polana and found very little. And you can tell it is not through people looting as there is very little junk left around. At polana fire station there was absolutely nothing at all in it. I hope they sort this out soon as well as the walking. And is any one else finding it a bit laggy when you press your movement and quick slot keys? I'm finding there is a seconds delay when trying to do things?

I have yet to find a none looted military base. That only happened for me on the last complete server restart. With the new loot spawn rules all the places that have those items are looted to hell by now. Although you do find the odd bit of good kit now and again in one. That is my experience on the servers I go on any way. I don't necessarily think that is a bad thing, but it would be nice to find the loose ammo in other places as well that is all.

I have been able to get ammo, but it would be nice to see the 5.56, 7.62x39, .45 and 9mm spawn in other buildings other than police stations and military bases. I find lots of shot gun shells, 7.62x51 and .380 outside of these areas. It would be nice if some of the 7.62x51 and .380 were the other calibers. I don't want lots of ammo, but it would be nice to find it all in other places. Upshot if ammo spawns in a building it can be of any type.

It's getting very hard to play dayz on Exp servers, as over time the servers go down to the constant reset cycle making it almost impossible to play as the ones that are left are full funny old thing. I hope they sort this out soon. The day started off bad with a few stable servers, improved later on in the morning and now as far as I can tell only 1 exp 1st person server not in the constant rest cycle.

Well thanks for that, Not much help though when I haven't found an axe and my game crashes through a bug that they have not fixed so when I log in I'm fucked.

Has any one found a way of getting around the hypothermia bug?

Just been on face book and they say the 0.49 release to stable has been put back and so they should. There are loads of problems on exp at the moment that I hope they are sorting as in its current state not many people would be playing this on stable. I have found it very frustrating as twice I gave died from zed attacks due to lag. Can't even run away from them when that happens. I have tried and failed. Do you get the feeling at the moment it is one step forward and two steps back with the way things are going. Lets hope we start going the other way on the next update lol.

Have to say I'm not enjoying the current update. Melee on zed is a pain in the arse. Missing them to much whilst the pummel the shit out of you and from a distance (would have thought this might have been fixed as it has been an issue for quit some time) to much lag which I have not had problems with before and the weather effects are hit and miss at the moment. Plus the zed detection needs work as it seems they can look through walls and trees. Lost count of the times I hear them then the next thing they come through a tree right in front of me and that's the first time I have spotted them. Oh well time to give the game a rest and see what the next update brings

It would be nice to get a scope for the sporter 22 as you can get them for the rifle in real life so why not in the game. The cross bow has its own scope now so please can we have one for the 22 :-).

Having played 0.48 It would be good for thing to degrade over time. This would refresh the map and loot a bit better. I have been in the same area 24 hours later and there are lots of the same items around. I know this for sure as I left a crossbow with a sight on it and 24 hours later its still there as well as other items that i recognized that were still in the same place. I like the idea of the OP, but the condition of the items on spawn in should be random down to badly damaged.

Agree that one shot does not always kill in fact most of the time you will survive one shot.

I left my bambi avatar at Berizeno last night in poor condition. The place had been ransacked. I logged back in this morning and the place was still bare only odd 1 or 2 items that no one wants around. It was like that all the way down to the factory just north of solnichniy every where I looked there was nothing but the odd 1 or 2 bits of crap. I was surviving off apple trees and berry bushes (I hope they improve the way you forage I don't really like the randomness of it. A tree with apples on it should produce apples. And please don't shoot me it is just my personal thoughts :-)). This afternoon when I return the place is awash with loot although there was hardly any one on so I'm not doing to bad just after my 22 mag and its off into the woods. PS any hints on how to melee crawler zeds as I find them a pain in the ass, hard to hit and they do me the most damage. -

Thank you for the explanation (First person I have seen to give a very good explanation of Alpha thank you) "Heeerse's Johnny". I can now understand better what is going on and it is good to get all the things the devs want within the game. And yes I understand there are and will be bugs in the game as it is. But you just have to look at the amount of people playing on the exp servers to see people are voting with there feet (Metaphorically speaking) with all the current bugs. And you can see the big list of bugs on the "bugs report" list for 0.48. The game is slowly becoming unplayable which then means no one is playing in large enough numbers to see if the new features that are implemented work well or not. The way the game is now I find I can't play at the moment as a bambi because the spawn points have been looted to death and the first zed I come across kills me as he can hit me all the time yet I can only hit him 50% of the time. Even with a melee weapon 1 zed can and has taken me down easily. This should not be the case it should be the other way round. It is the bleed that they inflict that I find takes me out more often than not. And if I do survive then my health is so poor the next zed I come a cross sneezes on me and I'm out as I haven't recovered. I have not been able to find any food (and yes I have done the apple picking and what a wast of time). How is this helping the devs test the new systems? I have had a character survive for a day in exp, but I think that is more luck than any thing else. And yes I do run away from zeds, but it is a catch 22 because chances are I will run into another zed before I have found any food or bandages. I don't want it easy as it is good that we have to go looking for things now, but fixing things like the zed hit detection would go a long way as this has been a problem for some time and it is now biting the devs in the ass so to speak. Any way lets hope for a better future for the game as it was an excellent game at the start and would still be now if it had less bugs. Because what is the point of us reporting things if they don't get fixed even on alpha. -

Only problem with that is you find a lot of ruined or badly damaged items which is the down side to that sort of tactic :-(. Plus I don't carry to much on me for that reason. I store my food and water mainly in me not on me lol. And you are welcome to my 22 ammo if you want it. -

It looks like the devs need to tweak the loot spawn system. At the moment it looks like we still need server resets as the loot slowly goes over to the items that people don't want and that stops the items that people are after from coming into the game. Not a bad thing, but frustrating for players as once a place has been looted several times you won't find anything of vague interest there. The game could do with a loot de-spawn to remove unwonted items in the game to free up the loot tables. And for things you want to keep you tag them so the system knows that they are permanent and not part of the loot table other wise I bet the system would remove them to lol. On the plus side it has made people more friendly. I haven't been killed yet on experimental for my items or as a threat to the other player although I bet that will change soon lol. -
It would be nice to "see" large groups of zeds and a mixture of zombie speeds random or by zombie type I'm not bothered either way. It feels like the devs are trying to give the illusion of large numbers with the spawning, but the time I have spent with this system it does not feel right. I have lost count of the times I have taken 1 zed out and haven't seen any others around to then have a running battle with them as it is kill 1 spawn 2 and you see them spawn in ect. It would be good to have a general idea of what you could be letting yourself in for. You see lots of zeds you move on, you see a few you take the risk. A work in progress for the devs I think.

I wounder if the devs will put something in as this idea comes up on the board most of the time. I for one think some subtle skills you can gain over time through learning in a book, continued use or experience ie eating something that made you sick would not be game breaking. And like in real life you have to keep doing these practicing/using these skills to keep them at there best. If you don't then they degrade over. I don't want to see grind to the top of one skill forget that skill next one, but still be supper good at the first one for the rest of the game. This way you can be excellent at just a few things or ok at a lot of things, its your choice and you have to make a sacrifice some where along the line. No one is an expert at everything. As for exp I say no. In my opinion it has no place within this game it does not feel right.

There are good points to both sides of the suggestion. I do believe the person that died should not be able to get the loot the old character stashed, but other players should be able to access it. I do like the alternative as some people have suggested, your stashed equipment degrades over time when not interacted with. May be that timer speeds up on players demise so if they do get to their items they are in poor condition then they are required to fix them so worn is the best you have. That I think would work for both sides and I would be cool with it. -
I have just spent the morning playing 0.47 and it is a load of Sh**. The only good thing about it is the zombie path finding and not going through walls. There is no point in melee at the moment as you are half dead before you kill them. The hit location on them is appalling. Shooting is no better as you get inundated by them and bullet damage is poor. It took 2 rounds from an sks to down a zed from point blank. And last of all the game freezes on me every so often. And yes I know it is Alpha, but if this goes live in its current state it would kill the game, Please fix the game as it was really cool when it first came out with just minor bugs. It would be good to have the current bugs fixed as it seams content is more of a priority than fixing the numerous bugs that are in the game. Rant over and lets hope the devs sort things out.

I would agree that some pistols should come with magazines. Especial after visiting 46 police stations and not one pistol mag of any kind in one of them. Lots of pistols its a shame they are all a waste of time. I think the devs have it the wrong way round. I'm sure there are more magazines to be found in the real world than guns not the other way round as in dayz sa.

I like the Idea the op suggested. It would make you think a lot more about taking the zombies on. Do you shoot and attract more of them, do you try to stealth up and axe them with the possibility they might attack you and you might get infected. At the moment they are not a major threat. And they don't shoot guns. But if they have a small chance of infecting you you start giving them a bit more respect like when you come across another survivor with a gun. And as for implementation are they not going to bring in more things that make you ill and can kill you if you don't treat them? if they are, then it should not be that hard to make zombies give you an infection. And we are survivors who said we were immune? we might not have been hit by a zed yet.

I had the sort of experience you are trying to implement. I got shot, but not killed. I came out of unconsciousness to find some of my kit looted. I could see the person who had shot me so I moved around to let them know I was still alive, shot again. I'm still alive and come out of unconsciousness and I move around again. Last shot was the fatal one. I here over my headset laughing and the comment "don't mess with us". As much as a like your Idea you are still pixels on the screen and even with pixel gore people will still kill for fun no mater what. As for the people that say there are should be no penalty for killing I think there should, but lets make it when you die that's it game over no respawn. That's real life. Then lets see how much kos would go on then? you take a gamble every time you shoot some one. You might be the one that ends up dead not your intended victim. But seriously it is a game and may be to make kos not as prevalent, have a penalty for a time for killing a fellow pixel avatar. It would make you think a little bit more before pulling the trigger so quickly. You still can, you just get some effects for a period of time then that is gone and it's off to the next killing. It just might stop people going on a killing spree as you will have to let the effect go as you are at a slight disadvantage. But don't worry I don't think the devs will do that so let the kos remain as an integral part of the game OOOOHAHAHAHAH KILLL KILL KILL.
