Military Gear lootspawns need immense reductions

I agree with Kaxii to a degree. Military loot should be spread around more, not just in military bases. There are a lot of houses and sheds that spawn nothing or very little of interest at the moment. Let there be a small chance of the military kit and all other items spawn in them. This might open up the field a bit and make you want to look every where not just in the places that you know you have a good chance of finding the good kit. It might reduce server hoping a little as I know that I do it as when you get to a place and all the doors are open what is the point of looking, all the good items will be gone. At least you can move on with the knowledge that a house might produce the item you where looking for. How many of you have gone to a base/airfield and found it looted, you hope and the place is still looted and so on, but all the houses around are un looted. With it more open to being found in other places you might just move on and not hope to another server. I don't think there should necessarily be more around, but certainly a chance of finding it in none military places. KOS are you sure more zeds in the game are going to stop this? if you ask me I think it will increase as it will be easier to kill another player and get there hard worked for kit than take on zombie hoards. While there is no eventual consequence programed into the game for KOSing it will prevail as people like doing it and it is a game after all. I had a good experience as a point. Up in krasnostav wounded and can't see very well, I see a figure running towards me and I shoot thinking it is a zombie to find it is another player. I stop after my first shot and apologise he seems ok with it. His friend then pops up, we stand there for a few seconds looking at each other. I think we might have a talk and move on, but no his mate pulls out his gun and shoots me I gain consciousness and he shoots again and this repeats until I'm dead. Would he be so merciless if he had to eventually pay a price for his actions? And every time he shot me he was ruining the kit he was looting from me so it was just pure fun. In real life most people in a survival situation would help each other to survive as there is no re-spawn.
  2. Thanks for starting this topic. I had noticed this that some buildings had no loot spawns in them ever. I just missed them out in my searches and go to the ones where I know items spawn in. All buildings should spawn items of some kind in them even with a very small chance of the more desirable ones eg (guns). You will then want to look in every building. Plus the high rises could do with a just a few more items in them as at the moment I think for effort to reward they are very poor investment at the moment IMO.

    Torches

I know that most people at night don't use torches as it gives away your position. But when I do use them I find the beam very constrictive (only illuminates a small area of the screen). Would it not be good to be able to make the beam broader to illuminate a larger area, but the light gets dimmer when you do this.

What do we really want as far as zombies?

I would like to see more zombies in the cities and military camps. The good items should be worked for and it might make for a bit more co-op then kos. Plus more zombies would make you think twice before using your gun and attracting them. Make it axe fights all the way lol. A little bit off topic, but I like wayze's idea about gaining skills e.g. you do a lot of first aid so you might be able to give a bit more blood on a transfusion than a none first aid person. These skills could run in the background like thirst and health so you don't know how well you are doing with them. You know you have that skill, but not how good you are at it, plus it degrades slowly over time when not used. .You never go to the starting point for that skill, but down to 1/4 of it from the highest point that you have achieved for that skill. That way you will always have to work at it. Often used skills have a high decay rate and less used ones a slow rate. I wonder how hard this would be to implement in the game. Plus it might make books a bit more useful as you could learn the base start of skills from some of them.

    The Ultimate Solution For Kos

Kos is the only way to play at the moment. It is sad to say, but I will be turning this way as I have had only 1 encounter with a friendly person and that worked well for the both of us. The rest of the time I have been killed when I have been friendly to the other player. Even at re-spawn when I have no kit people have still tried to kill me when it is clear I'm no threat and have nothing on me. It will be interesting to see how the game evolves and if kos becomes the less attractive option (I think not it will always be the easiest way to get things). Personally I think over time there should be a penalty to kosing that you then have to be friendly to reduce the penalty what ever that may be. Banditry should not be removed from the game, but there should be a price for it which the game eventually forces you to play thus making you think more about it than just the casual killing that you can do at the moment. At the end of the day People can still be bandits, but at a price. I like the idea of flash backs of people you have killed as some one posted in another suggestion. You might get one just as you are about to kill some one and you freeze at the critical moment giving them the edge. or you laugh manically as your psychotic instinct takes over for a couple of seconds giving the other player the drop on you. You would get this from a random amount of killing say any time after 3 kills (to cover any accidental killing and you can get away with it then you either play as a nice guy and help other players for a bit or play the numbers game with the chance of getting one of the effects at some random moment, its your choice.) . These effects could also be done when you are taking on zombies (one of them looks like your first kill what is he doing still alive? you freeze). This might make banditry and kos the less easy option than it is at the moment. And to stop you from healing/being friendly to your friends to reduce the effect, the game knows who your friends are so they don't count.

The lack off loot is not right ???

The loot in the military camp by Balota seem to be broken. I thought it must have been emptied by every one just after the servers came up after the patch. But the server I was on rebooted when I was by the camp, so I went back into the same server to see if the kit had re spawned to find all the tents still devoid of items. Did some server hopping after that to find that every military camp had nothing there. On the plus side all the house spawns seem to be the same as far as I can tell.

    Ammunition/Weapon suggestions

I would like to see the ammo boxes take magazines as well as loose ammo.

    Zombie respawn time too fast

Well this answers a question for me. I was scouting out a small village and see no zombies in it. I think to myself good I can find some items without having to doge zombies. After a bit of searching around I go to entre a house I then get jumped by a zombie by a shed not far from me that I had checked was clear 60 seconds earlier. They had a mate that had spawned in as well not far from them. I killed them of course, but it was not nice being jumped by a spawn in. They are there or not. I under stand the need to spawn in to keep the zombie population up, but make them spawn in to a point that you do not agro each other straight away. Plus can they be dumbed and slowed down, as I find they are super zombies at the moment and it is hard to run away from them. I had one track me for about 2 miles even when he was a speck on the horizon when I last looked back at him before entering a wood to loose LOS, I then changed direction for a bit then stopped so I wasn't making any noise. He still found me at which point I had to kill him. All I wanted to do was loose him not fight at that point.
