I only see a real issue if you're in a fire fight and not having any issue at all. If it's a zombie - meh. That's whatever, I guess, but if you log out the moment you see another player or log out during a fire fight... Then yeah, that'd be a problem.

Oh, man... The mass paranoia there will be. Some random asshole is going to hide in a building and hit the wall with a melee weapon. Before you know it, everyone's shooting everyone. However, interesting and great idea!

Server hopper or not... Its DayZ, fools! Who cares who kills who or how its done? Sometimes bitches need to be killed.

Are you using some form or TeamSpeak or Mumble? I've experienced problem with mimble that crashes my game. If you're using that stuff, disable their overlays.

Mine does that too. Are you sure it's not transitioning to night time? It takes my screen a second for night time to load up. Adjust your brightness and gamma then set them to the highest. If it still doesn't work then there could be a problem. At least this is what I've done.

If you hit esc or bring up your menu, the screen lightens up slightly so you can see people around you. Not sure if that's what you're talking about but what I'm speaking off isn't that visible and you can slightly see people around you. Either way, I agree with the OP. One thing I would like to see is the screen fading in and out as you're fainting. If hit in the head and you get knocked out cold then keep it the way it is. However, if you go down from lose of blood, hunger, or dehydration then it shouldn't be so sudden.

I was up in the tower assorting my gear in the NW airfield when suddenly someone spawns into the game in front of me. He was well geared and looked ready to fight. So what did I do? I blasted him. I sure as hell was not going to take the chance. So like an idiot, I stuck around and sifted through his gear, swapped stuff out, ate his food, drank his water, and pretty much took my time. I was expecting to hear someones foot steps coming up the latter so I thought I was safe. Little did I know, someone was lurking the area and heard me eating away. Right as I decided to leave the tower, someone ran up the stairs and began blasting away... killing me in the process. :( So to the person I killed logging in, I apologize but I wasn't taking the risk! To the individual (if not the same person) who found me and wasted me... touche, good sir, touche. Karma's a bitch I guess and I got what I deserved! :lol: Enjoy my gear! lol By the way, this happened 5 minutes ago so if either person (or same person) is reading this, let me know! I want to know what you're reactions were! lol Edit: For the person that killed me, you're lucky! I panicked and tried moving but you were the quicker shot! lol Also, I'm not mad! This is what I freaking love about this game. It's so unpredictable and gets your heart pumping!

Head to the airfields or military bases. You're sure to run into someone there. ;) Yeah, man... I nearly fell to my death on the tower. Matter of fact, the animation showed my guy falling to his death then all of a sudden, he reappeared at the top of the ladder and it let me go down it safely. I sure was happy! I was fully geared!

Are you the one I killed? Also, is it possible to carry the Mosin and the M4? This individual had both in his possession.

For sure. I would like to make friends with people who are armed.... Buuuuuuuuut I tend to take rounds to the face when trying to be friendly. ;)

Maybe I've had better luck with the M4 then! I haven't had a problem with it. I haven't used the Mosin, like I said, but I've also used the revolver/.45 which both do have some horrible accuracy but that's expected at a further distance. As for your EOTech, you're shooting nearly point blank so of course you're going to hit the target. ;) 50 yards is nothing special! But this is besides the point! I already said they can adjust the accuracy settings but I've yet to have a problem with the M4. Like I said, it may have been some luck but I hit my targets true. Matter of fact, I was about 80 - 100m from a group of people when I seen them and went prone in the grass. They had spotted me instantly and with a single shot, I was killed by an M4. So he must have been lucky with it too. :/

Trust me... When it comes to firing weapons, its more than just aiming and shooting. If you don't have proper sight picture and sight alignment, you're going to be shooting all over the place. Now if you're less than 60m and missing horribly and no where near your target, then something's wrong. By the way, I'm not saying the weapon accuracy is perfect by any means in this game but I've yet to have a problem with an M4 and I haven't used the Mosen yet. Also, disassembling and assembling an M4/M16 is not hard by any means and has nothing to do with your shooting abilities. Someone with no experience with a weapon could figure it out in under 10 minutes considering there are only two pins to unlock in order to break the weapon down to allow you to pull the bolt free. In real life, many factors may throw off your shot and some of them include: anticipating the shot, adrenaline, weather, not having a high firm pistol grip, improper sight picture/sight alignment, having the butt stock low in the shoulder, improper stock weld, bringing your head to the weapon and not the weapon to your head, and even jerking the trigger. Again - this is real life and we're talking about a game so I understand that they're not going to implement all of this into the game. My whole argument here is you're trying to say shooting accurately is easy which in fact its not in untrained hands. In regards to the Magpul butt stock, they're typically much more comfortable in the shoulder than stock butt stocks. This can improve accuracy in a way. Mosins in real life are actually fairly accurate themselves as well. To sum this all up, I feel they can improve the accuracy mechanics BUT its not all that bad as you're trying to make it out to be.

Unless you're in the military or know how to properly handle a weapon, the chances that you're a crap shot will be pretty high. Considering we're all just random survivors in-game, it's safe to assume that we're all just random Joe Schmoes who've probably never used a weapon before. So the weapons inaccuracy is rather realistic since there's more to just aiming and shooting in real life. Edit: HOWEVER, I will say that I came across someone yesterday who wanted to be killed and had a problem with weapon accuracy. He was no more than 10 feet from me and it took two shots to the head to kill him because I missed the first time. Now that was a tad unrealistic unless my character is completely ass backwards and sucks at life. <_<

For the best loot, head north. There's tons of food, water, and other weapons/supplies due to the lack of people up there. The reason I asked is because myself and two others were filling up our water when someone rolled up on us and lit us up. He made off with a fully modded M4, two revolvers, 30+ rounds for the revolver, 150+ 5.56 ammo, a few canteens, great gear, and a ton of food. Lol We made the mistake of not having someone on over watch to protect us.
