I like this idea. How about for the more psychopathic types, we can cut eyelets in a burlap sack and put that on your head? ;)

This is very true. You can easily cut down a lot of the hand and arm signals with just a few basic ones. Enemy in sight/Danger ahead - Raise your rifle; each raised finger along the hand guards indicates meters by the hundreds. Get on line - Extend both arms out at shoulder level; used for frontal assaults on enemy positions. Wedge Formation - Extend both hands down at your side in a 45 degree angle; used for all around security in open terrain. Tactical Column - Swing your non-firing hand (whole arm) counter clockwise; used for flank security but horrible for front/rear security Halt - Palm up ear level; used for halting a patrol and allows for individuals to take up a security posture. Freeze - Closed fist ear level; used for freezing a patrol in place i.e. a patrol is trying to be sneaky and hears an enemy near by or land square center in a mine/IED laden area. Everyone stops immediately, no excessive movement. Assemble - Open palm held up head level and spun counter clockwise or clockwise; used for wanting everyone on your current position. Danger Area (open terrain w/ little to no cover or roadways) - Make a slashing motion at the neck with a hand; used for informing others in your patrol that a "danger area" is up ahead and it is advised that there is near side/far side security established prior to crossing the area. Double time - Run or hurry up; used for when the unit/persons are lagging behind and everyone needs to run to a particular area quickly. There are hundreds of other hand and arms signals and many are usually unit/individual standard operating procedures (SOP) or in other words, people can make up their own meanings for said hand and arm signals.

As much as I like this idea, I hate those hand and arm signals. That's not the hand and arm signal for a wedge. >:( Also, do any of you know what a wedge is or what it's used for? ;) Anyways, in all seriousness, I really like the idea and I even like elLoCo's idea as well. It would really make this much more immerse... Especially for us military guys. ;) Here's some :beans: !

To the three individuals who were in a firefight with three other guys along the railroad track in Berezino along the coast - thank you. Thank you for not combat logging and making the game fun! Now, myself and another buddy of mine were killed almost instantly in the fight which was fine. As for our third guy, he got the high ground on the large oil tank along the railroad track. That's how he got all three of you if you were wondering. Sadly we were not able to loot your bodies and out your gear to use because two of you disappeared before I could get to them and I couldn't see the third guy. Our third and remaining shooter could see the third dead body but he couldn't loot it either for some reason. Anyways, it was fun and thank you for not combat logging! Now, for the three fresh spawns (maybe the same three guys) who chased me from Solnicniy to Berezino, I warned you that all three of you were going to die. That's what you get for trying to kill me. ;)

Oh, man... This reminds me the day after the patch when everyone was reset to the coast. There were dead bodies EVERYWHERE and a lot of them were standing in the road so what did I do? I stood in the road and acted as if I were dead. Some guy came up with a flashlight (it was night time) and was scoping out the area. He walked past me so I started following him but the moment he stopped to turn and face me, I stopped moving. He even came up to me and said "Hello? Are you there?" I eventually found a banana and tried force feeding it to someone but when they looked, they knew I was alive because of the banana in my hand. I was eventually beat to death... :P -
I didn't mean to sound like a smart ass lol I meant once someone drinks from a water bottle then go and fill it back up, it should be back at 100%. At least it worked for me last night.

Yes, it's a bug. It should correct itself after drinking from it.

I haven't had a problem. When I'm stuffed, I can go quite a long time without either food or water. -

Uh... The point of the game is survival and you need food and water for that. To stop from being thirsty every five seconds, drink until it says your stomach is stuffed. There should be no reason you have food in your inventory UNLESS you're already stuffed from that as well. -
I personally dont see a reason why people complain about KoS. Sorry, bud, but if this were real life.. Its you or me and I sure as hell am not going to risk being killed by some random person. Would it be cool if clans set up "safe zones" and maintained law and order in areas they claim? Hell yeah. I think to stop KoS, its going to take clans implementing some form of law in towns. That would not only make it more realistic but it would be cool to start communities and set up sentries to ward off bandit attacks.

I'd love to be able to booby trap containers, dead bodies, tree lines, or even doorways with grenades and wire. I would really like to be able to make explosives or set up IEDs along roads.

Yes, use the search feature. You're probably going from a hardcore server to a regular one. In which case you are changing characters. -

Yes, you can be killed and yes it'll let you know. As for knowing if someone is dead, sometimes it bugs but if they are not moving, are bleeding out, or stuck kneeling then they're likely dead or knocked out. Just continuously punch them until the animation shows them dying or they don't move anymore. -
Always, ALWAYS reload your weapons prior to looting your kill or after firing. Never know when something like this will happen!
