Yeah, that's a good probability. It could be people that jump in the SA without playing the mod or Arma 2/3 I too think that Chernarus was part of the USSR as to the graffiti on building walls and the events that has happened on Arma 2 in the campaign over the region. -

I was kind off that walking armory on PZ. I always tried to run from the zed and always managed to get away. Until a horde appeared outside the building I was holed up in and they swarmed the rooms.

We know this is a video game. I don't know why people use that sentence. If we wouldn't know the difference between a game and reality, then we might as well be schizophrenic ;) We're talking about its story and events because we want to. It's not as if we must put it into our daily lives. -
I don't think so since you wouldn't know that there's an enemy around the corner and I don't think that firing from the hip is great on 3pp. :)

Well, don't consider the story but consider its geography. That, and it's just a fictional country based on the landscape on Czech, not its history. The history is entirely different. Chernarus suffered three civil wars and since the USSR dissolved, Chernarus had to rely on its agriculture for its economy. Not like the Czech Rep where they have resources. This is why you would see people still with the communist ideals such as the rebel groups and the graffiti. -

Well, it is a post-soviet state, and on Arma 2, a rebel group by the name of the ChernaRussian Movement of the Red Star wanted to change Chernarus's government into communism. That, and Chernarus is on borders with Russia. See here on this Arma 2 map. That insult. And, no solid proof of what I said. You didn't even quote some. Reported. -

There is a burnt out village near the center of the map. http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus#7.084.093 I passed that place once on my lonely adventures. People are saying that there was a crashed helicopter beside it, guess I missed it since I didn't see one. -
Variety helps. More guns in the game isn't going to hurt anybody. At least, it's better than finding two Mosins/SKS/M4s stacked on each other.

Was it on a regular server? He might have used the third person exploit to look over the fence and shot it where you were.
