Well, he's not leaving due to the Game's engine, but rather due to the game's "flawed concept". He wanted the ultimate multiplayer experience. Wow, ever since he made the announcement of his leave, there was a rather... Big negative backlash... -

Those are not engines. They're companies! :P I think you meant, the Source Engine, Frostbite Engine, and Rockstar Advanced Game Engine. Oh hey, you're that guy that wanted a quick buck and quickly made a kickstarter of something you made up. What was it, "No DayZ Later" and "The Edge of Extinction"? I never lost a character on DayZ with these wipe bugs. After all, these are not bugs to speak of. Just join official protected server and not some who's name are like "Dave's supercoooool surver, join!". These servers don't have a good connection to the database. So if you spawn as a fresh spawn, you can assume these two things. You either died while logging out, or you entered a server that has problems connecting to the database. To avoid losing all of your progress if you come with the latter, just instantly disconnect and connect to another server.

I know right?! Looting is quite fun! Also, could you enlighten us on where you logged out? It could be that you got killed when your character was idle for the 30 seconds it takes for it to despawn.

The legacy browser on games made by Valve is great IMO and elements from it should be added to the browser currently in DayZ. -

Doesn't work anymore. You're vulnerable for 30 seconds and you can get killed.

Yeah, it could be that the guy recording was getting lag or desync. Or the guy running was just merely a glitched out corpse. I saw it happen on Elektro a few patches ago, it was a guy running and teleporting backwards only to continue running the same direction and so on and so on. I knew it was a corpse because I could loot him and strip him off his stuff. :)

Report the server to its provider and they will take action. Nothing can be done on the forums, we're not your moms.

Can't be. People no longer materialize out off the game instantly. They have to log first, then an animations occurs of them sitting down or going prone. They stay like that for 30 seconds, then the person disappears. So if you see somebody instantly disappearing and coming back, then it's somebody hacking. If he had ghosted behind him, then he would've heard the reloading sounds that go off when spawning on the server. Also, I don't think that it was a hacker that got you. It was probably someone else who was hunting snipers over there on Balota.

I think there soon would be medication for blood pressure, that way you won't get heart attacks. :) If not, then dying of a heart attack sucks, really. :( -

It could be heavy desync. I still remember seeing dead fresh spawns on the coast, standing with blood gushing out of their corpse everywhere.
