Loot and spawns aren't complete - you can hop and get geared or you can explore trying to survive and you find what you find. I play the latter way and I also camp hopper spots. Killing server hoppers is a GREAT way to get geared fast.

I've cleaned my wounds after 3 different zombie hits, eat/drink and get "healthy," and then i"healthy" disappears soon afterwards. I clean my wounds again/take anitbiotics and I'm sick again - repeat food/water cycle, get healthy and then it disappears, Does each zombie hit need to be treated individually or do all wounds at once get treated at the same time? What am I missing here?

What's fun is camping a hot spot and kill hoppers. THAT is how to get some sweet loot and discourage hopping at the same time. If you camp a barracks, you will see people come out that never went in - that is your target!

Dude if you give me a pistol and ammo at spawn. I would love you so hard and take a bullet for you for sure. We don't all bite the hand that feeds so you know. You could be more careful though, don't put a gun in their hands until you are at a safe distance. Or even give them a melee and see how they react first.

Drank alcohol on accident instead of applying to wounds...I got sick and had no charcoal tabs. Started to head for the hospital in Berezino and got ghosted on and shot in the back before I got off the ship. Cascading failures. -

Yes! You put your weapon up to hold the pack - you can loot armed, or scurry off unarmed - you are vulnerable either way. -

Sometimes WE (the non-psychopathic players that like to explore and make friends) are the new spawns, so just watch your back and do not take new spawns for granted. They aren't all going to try and pound your head in. Yesterday a new spawn ran up behind me while I was peeking in a shed. He swung his axe at my head but caught the building instead. I got my bat out and asked in chat if he really wanted it to "go down like this." He said no and I ended up giving him some food anyway. How boring to sit around, not explore, and wait for someone you can jump to get some gear. Afterwards the guy ran around with me and we had a good ole time. -
What stops you from logging out if you are being robbed?

I don't log because it is a game in alpha and meant to be played. People that log and/or hack are insecure trash, don't get down on their level. Stay up survivors! -
I got the spawn near Novy too, its an awesome change from the coastal spawn.

Found one in a "piano" house in Stary, in a two story warehouse near the dock spawn next to Cherno, and a barn in Vyshnoye. Thre ammo seems harder to find than the rifle so far.
