I thank you all for the replies you gave. Yes so the problem with night gameplay is that its basically too much, I only hope that the Devs would see this post and consider tweaking it by possibly making making the night less dark and removing the gamma exploit.

I thought they actually cant see you well at night. only if you have like a flashlight turned on all the time.

But now we have accelerated time. They could also take into account the difference in the time zones and still have groups of servers belonging to that zone run at the same time, peple usually join the nearest server right?

They bought this game to have an authentic survival experience right ? But even now with accelerated time I see full servers emptying out once the sun starts going down. We are given a torch in the beginning for a reason and the whole dynamics of the game changes during the night. If only the servers all ran on the same time..................

Got my self a mosin, ammo a good outfit and hunter back pack after 2 days worth of looting. Was running towards a forest when WHIZZ ''You are dead'' ! Just like that ! One bullet.

I searched the military base near the NW airbase then the airbase (including the tents) and before it some of the major towns while coming from the coast but not any where did I find a Mosin! Every time its a SKS, Blaze 95 or M4 !! Where the hell can I find a Mosin ? And mind you I server hopped near the air base but still nothing!

You guys know about the performance of the standalone? Would a 3.2Ghz (3rd Gen) i5 with 8GB RAM and an OC GTX 660Ti cut it ?

Hi fellow survivors! I have this question I need clarification on: Right now you have to buy the ARMA 2 Collection and then download the mod but DayZ it self is available for purchase, so should I buy the ARMA 2 collection and get the mod or should I buy DayZ ? If I buy ARMA 2 and then download the mod do I have to buy DayZ standalone too when it comes into beta or final release ? What will I miss if I get the standalone now instead of the mod ? Thankyou.
