But I still talk to them anyway. Why would me talking in Skype effect what happens in game? People will bitch about anything, I swear to fuck. Think of it this way. If a group of people using Teamspeak stopped you and held you up. Consider their Teamspeak chatter what their body language and eye / body / hand / head nod signals would be if we had the option for those in game. They are at no advantage over someone not using Teamspeak. You would just know you're about to be executed if they voiced it over directional as well as their Teamspeak. Fucking Christ you people will literally bitch about anything. Holy fucking shit go play a single player game if you don't want people to talk with each other.

Yeah so when I bought my girlfriend the game I shoulda just told her to yell on directional chat around the coast until I found her. Come on you can't be that dumb. In game means of communication mean jack shit to me if I have to spawn separately from the people I play with. Also, not sure about others, but I use directional chat when I talk to people in-game. Me being in Skype has no effect, adversely or otherwise, to effectively communicate with players I meet in game.

Your entire argument is based on assumptions. I feel like Dean and the development team have been pretty open with us thus far. Yes I've been wrong before and games I thought would turn out great have had horrible launches and lifespans. I feel like if you had more proof than "well I talked to other developers and we think it's going too slow" I'd be inclined to agree with some concerns - because I do have my own about this game. Point being, it's too early to tell. There are so many doom conspiracy threads, QQ threads, and people whining on this forum, I just can't keep track of them all. I am not a fanboy, I never even played the mod, but all the people screaming doom that the game is a scam or is being developed too slow, need to take a step back and realize that it's too early to tell anything. Feel free to read my post over here explaining this in more detail about what we get when we demand things quicker, and how the CoD kiddie generation of "gamers" is ruining gaming. Oh I read your post in its entirety. You don't know everything going on in the DayZ Dev team so please stop acting like you do. As a developer you should know that this means that it is not done and is being worked on. Not to mention, as a developer, you should also know, that a game that has a hard release date needs crunch time. This game is nowhere near needing "crunch time" so fuck off about telling the devs they can't go home for the weekend. You crack me up. As a developer, you should also know that fixing fundamental issues and adding minor changes have almost nothing to do with each other. Team A responsible for adding the spray paint cans has NOTHING to do with Team B fixing Zombie AI or Team C fixing loot respawn. You have no clue what you are talking about. And yes, I added the specific lines of "As a developer" to patronize.

I play with my girlfriend, brother, and several friends. Sometimes all at once. We use Skype to coordinate where we are, how to meet up, etc. It does not break my immersion in the slightest. I also feel like having 2-6 people meet up without any communication whatsoever is dumb. Also LOL "Playing with friends and meeting up with them is cheating" get the fuck outta here.

As soon as people stop bitching about the state of the game, I will just as quickly stop saying that it's in alpha. Thanks.

The game isn't released. They sold it as an early access alpha so that people can play it early and test it to influence the future development. Although I agree the lines are being more and more blurred with games like Battlefield 4 and other AAA games getting released as broken pieces of shit for 60$. However if the game says flat out, THIS IS EARLY ACCESS THE GAME IS SO FAR FROM DONE and you buy it anyway, you have no right to bitch. note: I used the general "you" to refer to everyone, not specifically you.

Agreed. Also he forgot to mention that BF4 is mostly unplayable and we paid 60$ for a game that released in a worst state than it's closed alpha and beta tests. BF4 is a joke and I doubt there will be any significant changes in the game. If they knew how to fix them, they would have by now. Also, (to the person you quoted, not you) if you think that EA is really gonna let DICE hault development on future expansions and titles to fix BF4 you are gullible as hell.

A lot have. I even picked up Arma 2 and the mod out of curiosity. But that means that as each addition to SA is released I get to play it for free and follow the development as it happens. I like that. You said it yourself. They warned everyone, so to those who are more focused with shiny and front-end changes over fundamental and required changes that need to happen, they should have read those big "DO NOT BUY" warnings a few more times.
