What to expect from the Ruger 10/22

Sorry pal, if you need a picture to prove I used a .22LR, then I would gladly do so. All the stuff I said was not from research I did on Youtube, or at Dick's Sporting Goods, or at Cabela's, this is actually what happened to me, sorry If you dont believe it, but I still have the slugs to prove as well. Sorry pal

What to expect from the Ruger 10/22

Gibonez, I can tell you are serious about this topic haha. When I took the shots at 100 yards I used a 1938 pump action Remington Field Master. Used 1250 fps shells and a 4x scope. Beanbag rest on a bench and that was it. The rifle's barrel is 21 inches long. I've shot 2000+ shells through it. I could never imagine shooting a .22Lr past 100 yards, just is crazy for me. I'm from ohio so I both bow and slug gun hunt deer, so I'm used to making gaping holes on deer, and couldn't comprehend using a .22 to kill them (gibonez I know you didn't say this). Also, for whoever said a liver shot would bring you down immediately is wrong. I shot a Doe this year and made a standing shot without a prop for my 20 gauge mossbervg and hit 2 inches left and went through the liver and out the left lung. thought it was a great shot and waited 30 min to track her. Must mistaken, she ran 100 yards, beded down, then I kicked her up. Came back 3 hrs later, found a great blood trail, found her beded down again,, this time she slowly got up and I put another shot in her, this time her heart. Moral of the story is that a 20 gauge is equivalent to a .40 caliber rifle, and has more knockdown power than 90% of rifles because of the weight of the slug. The .22 is extremely light slug, unless hollow point, it won't do shit knockdown wise. Thanks for the input guys, I've liked a lot of stuff that's been said!

What to expect from the Ruger 10/22

In my cases, my rifle is not accurate farther than 100 yards. I clean it every time after I shoot. And yes to answere the questions, it passed threw the Gatorade bottle 2 of the 5 times at 100 yards for me. That is my experience with them.

I've seen both screenshots and 3d files of them, and if you look in the change logs there is a "Ruger 10/22 stance" or something like that I one of the most recent updates.

Yeah, it really depends how strong the skull is to determine the penetration of it. I'm really excited for this gun to be in game!

Also It should be pretty quite. I shoot it without ear plugs, should be heard up to 150-200 yards away and that's it. To reply to this, I hit it 5 times at 100 yards, 3 of them were stopped, 2 passed through. But they are definitely lethal at close ranges. They can literally shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger. And yes, they mostly come in boxes of 100, 250, or 500, all of those should take up 1 slot.

What to expect from the Ruger 10/22

I forgot to add in a couple points you guys brought up. I agree it should have virtually no recoil. If it's realistic I would love to be able to find a screw on Picetente rail and be able to attach any scope, like I've done in real life. Honestly you would be surprised by how inaccurate it can be at long ranges. I also agree that it should be a one shot kill if you hit a zombie, 3-4 for body shots. I also like the idea of being able to find hollow point shots for it, which will cause more bleeding. I agree with one of the posts, the 22. Should make a survivor bleed pretty well. Last point, if a survivor has a helmet, even if badly damaged it should deflect the slug, or slow it down enough not to kill. I'm still in real life it has both succeeded and failed at killing humans via a shot to the head.

What to expect from the Ruger 10/22

All of this information is based off of the real gun. This is what we should assume if they are trying to make the gun realistic. So I've become drastically paranoid lately because of the amount of people getting frustrated that the Ruger wont be a one shot zombie kill, or that it wont be acurate at long ranges. First off, its not a hunting rifle. YES, I know that it can be used to bust squirrels (which i do quote often as I'm an avid hunter) but it is a plinker, a sporting rifle. So dont expect it to be high powered. Next, it has a standard 10 round rotary mag, so no it is NOT the B95 like many people think. It can take 20, 30, 40, and 50 round mags. I have even seen in stores a 100 round drum mag for it. In real life I can hit a Gatorade bottle with it at 100 yards with a 4x scope. BUT it only penatrates one side of the bottle and the slug is stopped on the other side. So dont expect it to be a good gun for survivor killing, it should act as a zombie defense gun. It should take quite. A few shots to even take out a zombie, remember a .22 is not that powerful. I also think that this should spawn mostly in barns and residential house, not school, house spirals or military areas. Ammo should follow where the gun spawns. Just wanted to clarify some stuff with the Ruger, can't wait for it to be in the game and I think it'll be a great addition.

What Guns do YOU want to see?

I also agree that there should be much more civilian weapons and less military weapons

What Guns do YOU want to see?

I agree with a post earlier about western guns like the m4, I think those should be extremely rare. I think mosin's, AK's, .22's, shotguns (pumps, semi-autos WITHOUT magazines, and double barrels NOT SAWED OFF), and bows (compounds, recurves, long bows, and crossbows) should be the primary weapons, definitely have a low ammo and magazine count

    You are dead.

This happened to me once at the ATOC building at Belota airfield with one of my buds. I was walking down the stairs from the roof, I'm looking at my friend who is picking up an m4, he turns around and asks if I'm dead, I reply "no?" And then the infamous "You are dead" text appears on the screen. No one else was on the server, and my body disappeared..
