From reading your post, i get the idea that you think bug fixing is not "the right direction" for development? and that only adding new features is? it takes time to get past the initial game crippling issues that dayz had, only now that they have sorted the basics, are they able to concentrate efforts on expanding the experience. Development was never going in the wrong direction, you expectation though, was.

I have had a different experience.... I was completely fresh, climbing down a ladder in Elektro, when some wank decides to blow me away with a shotgun.....no warning, no talking, just KOS.....I didnt even have any loot....lol

OP describes camo gear, and weapon clips as basic equipment? as has been said above, you are in the wrong game, this is survival. food, clothing and water are basic needs, amazeballs guns and military gear are high end items that should not be easily found by someone who just spawned.... The game has not gone downhill, because it is not the game yet, it is a piece of software under development, so let it develop.

sounds like a good idea, would like to see something of this variation implemented, however without animations to explain why it is taking so long, it would take away from immersion for me, not add to it.

That works fine for the moment, but as they add sickness into the game, ground water will not always be safe for drinking without purification tabs, so bottles and canteens will be a must!

Terribad idea tbh, if you think irl you would know because you can hear them etc, then use the sound in the game to tell if someone is around you, if you can't tell from sound, then they are being careful and you shouldn't know they are there. use your wits and be cautious when in towns. This is the only way to survive. I have been burned too many times by people just shooting me for no reason. I trust no-one anymore.....

Since the update I have not had any temperature related status' in my inventory screen. I have had the "cooling off" :slowly cooling off" "slowly warming up" status' scroll in the left had side, but that is it?

I had an m4 like that, prisitine mp parts, acog, bipod, and a few coupled stanags..... then i was in the apartments, alone, nobody in there, then all of a sudden i am unconcious, was out for about 20 secs, then i get back up.......m4 and mags gone...... thanks mr hacker/admin was on a pipsi server. never playing it again.

this is good in theory, but then when you get mugged, they take ur map and then go to your tent and steal all your shit!
