alpha participants should get an rpg with infinite rounds every time they spawn, also tanks.

Spawn everyone in balota with fences around it for million man fist fight

why not just force feed them your dick?

Unrealistic bullet dispersion is definitely not the way to go about balancing the guns. There should always be swaying of the gun when shooting, made even more pronounced depending on mant factors dictating your health. For example if you are tired then you may not be able to hold the gun in a certain position indefinitely (depending on its weight), and won't be able to hold your breath as long. Hunger and thirst could also be factors. If they ever add drugs then caffeine could add a small but noticable shaking effect. There are surely many ways of balancing the gun accuracy without changing them. They should try to make the guns as true to real life as they can in my opinion.

What is wrong with people and making topics in which they say 'I know it's alpha but...' If you know it is alpha then why can't you accept the fact that the devs are working on it? Making another thread in the long line of threads about loot respawn is not going to make them change their priorities or work any faster.

How about having a military base at every building and road junction in the map? What about putting one ontop of every hill?

for those times when you cant find anything high enough to jump from after spawning on the east coast

More inspiration from stalker indeed! I wish the graphical quality was like stalker too :(

My idea of fun is getting some beans and going afk in a bush, that's surviving, and i can make a cup of tea in the mean time or something!

The only solution for DayZ: Simulation.
wigbig replied to SalamanderAnder (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Good post, but to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if the developers/team have already thought of this stuff ages ago. Most of it kind of goes without saying when you want to add depth to the game, but i liked your idea on the implementation of engine parts! I also strongly agree with the idea of having common vehicles, except most being in a state of disrepair, so you would have to find a lot of parts to fix them. -
As opposed to getting gear instantly then camping somewhere for 40 minutes just to die?

There are already many topics on this. Spawns are not broken, they have just been changed.

You're tired of spawning in the same place over and over yet you seem to only want to be in the cherno area? Maybe if you stopped killing yourself then you wouldn't be complaining about spawning there.
-
More surveys please! Also I think adding more civilian/hunting weapons would be more appropriate so military areas aren't so crowded with players looking for weapons that only spawn there.

I think Arma's third person doesn't fit the survival horror genre Dayz is meant to fit. A good example of thirdperson that works in horror games is Deadspace's close, over the shoulder camera, which also doesn't allow manual movement of the camera. Place the camera closer to the player and disable the looking around feature in third person only, and it should eliminate most of the exploiting while still keeping some level of tension and immersion.

Bullet proof vests and Night Vision goggles.
wigbig replied to Smoothshoes's topic in General Discussion
The devs will have to be very careful about adding nightvision if they do. I personally would prefer it without, so people can just man up and use flashlights and campfires. Like many people say, they would need to be extremely rare, but also I think the batteries used to power them should be very rare as well. My father had a pair of nightvision binocular things from when he worked in the military, and they use some weird small batteries that were very hard to find on sale. -
If you are lucky to be close to the person you kill then couldn't you quickly drag all their items onto the floor before they respawn? Then you can proceed to loot?

Remove thirdperson perspective, it doesn't add any immersion to the game and if anything it detracts from it. If you want to see your character just press the inventory button. In a game that is aiming for in-depth realistic survival, it seems silly that you should be able to see behind walls and around corners with thirdperson. Posted in this topic because I think only having first person available would increase tension in certain situations, and would generally result in players being more careful when moving around urban areas.

FEATURES YOU THINK SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED
wigbig replied to GASMASKEDBANDIT's topic in General Discussion
I don't think players should always spawn on the coast. It makes it pretty predictable where the majority of players are going to be. Maybe after a certain amount of total dayz playtime has passed, you will be spawned at locations anywhere on the map. I would also like to see some sort of help with identifying your friends and team mates when in a large group. It is frustrating to say the least and I have already been killed by people who I thought were from my group. A close range 50 - 100m indicator would be great, for people in the group/faction you have created. And lastly, It would be great to see some more motivation for people to stay indoors. * temperature drops from day to night * weather conditions * higher zombie activity at night, perhaps more/faster zombies that actively roam instead of standing still and waiting for you to agro them. * usable things inside buildings that allow crafting/make crafting results easier/better. Using a cooking stove for example, or sleeping in a bed.
