ingame 2 minutes is a long time, especially in a high pressure situation, also it's plenty of time for a guy to lock a door, and combat log. Don't get me wrong, i'm all for locked doors and multiple ways to open them. IMO Kick: 5/10 secs (not a timer or a bar to fill, eg payday, but an animation), though it makes a medium noise Kicking open a door for friends, or zombies Shoot: instantaneous or 1-5 shots, it could take more or less depending on ammo (00 buck would obliterate the lock, while going at it with chopsticks would be better than shooting it with .22), though people/zeds can hear the gunshots (suppressed weapons ftw). Imagine sniping open a door for your mate.. Pick: 30 secs, not too long, but long enough for it to be an intense 30 secs. You need tools which at loot-able at police stations and civ buildings. It would suck as an animation though Other tool: crowbar, battering ram, fireaxe (I feel like nobody thought of this), chainsaw, explosives, however long the devs decide it should take, if they choose to add this. The other thing I missed but probably would be so obscure it wouldn't be any better than just kicking it in: *insert lame profanity* At that point you would just break a window...

I have to admit, I laughed pretty hard when he got hit by the axe. Also, my exact reaction when I finally had ammo for a gun, point at the sky, forget I'm in an apocalypse.

If it's that easy to get sick from raw straight-off-the-animal meat it's a wonder we ever survived before the invention of fire! No, seriously, raw red meat isn't bad for you, it's just [very] unsafe to eat if stored poorly. It's sterile (more or less) when you get it off the freshly killed animal, it became unsafe to eat when supermarkets kept it in poor/not ideal conditions, keeping on the shelf for days if not weeks. I think you mean definitely change in the future. They're working on persistent containers atm, so I figure they'll sort out a loot respawning mechanic as soon as they finish all the things that hold loot.

I've never heard of a crossbow shooting 100m before! Would that be an arcing shot, where you've angled up considerably to compensate for drop or is the common crossbow powerful enough that you don't need to angle much?

Pretty much the only difference between a suppressed weapon and an un-suppressed weapon is you go: "What the fuck was that?" instead of: "Someone's shooting at me!"

It sounds like it's very hit and miss with the quality of the Mosin Nagant, but if i was given the choice between that and a AKM for long range I would choose the Mosin, for the longer ranged cartridge.

I personally think this is amazing; it shows the clothing system in a much more intuitive way, but one thing missing is the character model, perhaps a second tab to show the character?

Australia here, Zed is taught in schools, most people (far as I can tell) say 'zed', and I prefer it because it's a much stronger sound than 'zee'. DayZee is what they call it here anyway.
