Flamethrowers and chainsaws...flaming chainsaws Ok, realistically, Id say continuing to increase zombie numbers and stopping them from running through just about everything. Adding the server timer or some other fix to stop the constant logging would be nice too.

Ive been chased by a few zombies in the cities, but never more than 5 or so at a time. I had my first zombie chase me up some stairs last night which surprised me.

Mind if I ask what monitoring software youre using and how you like it? Ive been looking to add some myself.

Ive had a lot of luck finding weapons and ammo at Balota airstrip, but Ive also had a lot of luck getting shot in the back of the head there too. Hopping on a night server helped since it was fairly empty.

Yea, probably could just file it under "hero," but thats what I was calling it in my head. I got lucky hitting up Cherno, Elektro, and Balota airstrip on a near empty server, so I am finally geared up and with actual ammo for the guns Ive found. I was playing alone and not seeing anyone where I was, so I hopped onto a more crowded server and started heading back down the coast. I initially had no intentions and even gave thought to being a bandit for a while, but decided to go another route while learning to use my mosin.(First time I had found one in 25 hours or so of playing) I ran into a few different new spawns that had damn near nothing, but since I dont carry tons of food, I only had so much supplies to share. Instead I decided to just watch their back as they ran around trying to get healthy, stock, up, whatever. I followed them to whatever town they ran to and would set up somewhere I could watch them and snipe any zombies or bandits that approached them. I followed one player in a clown mask from town to town without saying a word and think I started to freak him out, but he never tried to kill me even once he got an axe, and helped me when a couple zombies somehow snuck up on me, so I helped him until I lost track of him. I only killed one person who appeared to be a bandit intent on killing one of the people I was following, but shooting the zombies from afar was plenty fun since I had only used an m4 and pistol til then.

Do you just go by ROwdy on steam?

I was killed by a bandit on a no KOS server last night...I think we both knew nothing was going to happen to him.

I find the best method is to stand in an open field and fire your gun into the air until he hears it. I cant see any problems developing because of it... jk, Id go with what everyone above has said. You also become more comfortable once you start to recognize things such as landmarks or the way buildings in certain towns look like, so eventually youll be able to head out without much thought.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I never anticipated this post would get such a response! I had used this server, the one I was killed on, before and had met a few friendly people who never tried to kill me, but I imagine some people see any server marked civil or no KOS as one that is full of easy targets since theres nothing really stopping them from doing it. Messages about the banhammer coming down on anyone who KOS flashed on the screen when I joined, but I dont even know who it was that killed me, so I dont see how that could work anyway. Tonight will mark my first effort for group adventuring, so we'll see how it goes. I signed off after respawning, so Im clueless as to where I am at the moment.

I could have used a guardian angel myself tonight! I was running around in the towns on the coast, which I accept is dangerous when alone, perhaps even foolish, when I think I hear a voice. I havent a clue what town it was, but suddenly when I turn around the voice gets louder and all I hear is "Stop resisting!" before an m4 starts to fire. I have no idea where he was, but I was very dead and back to square one. As annoyed as I am to be essentially KOS'd on what was labeled as a "no KOS/civil" server, its true that the scariest, and maybe even funnest, part of the game is when you have nothing and are halfway starved and dehydrated trying to stay alive. Having a pack full of ammo, an axe, a mosin, and enough supplies to keep me alive on the road felt like an accomplishment, but it had become a bit monotonous. My goal tomorrow is to actually meet up with someone or a group and do some adventuring. Ive only played by myself thus far and think itd be more fun with some friends.

Id be down for the shotgun just so I can stop finding shells with no purpose.

I think the bayonet, like a suppressor, adds weight to the front of the gun which can help stabilize things while firing. Not sure about frequency or whatever though.

I like the m4, but I feel like I know my bullet is going right where I point it when using the mosin...at least within reason according to distance and such.

I logged out while in the airstrip prison because I wanted to be on the second story and switch to a more populated server since I hadnt seen anyone in a couple hours and was getting a bit bored. Ill forward my address that my medal and cookie can be sent to.

I found my first mosin, after more than 25 hours of gameplay, last night while checking the Balota Airstrip. I only saw one in all the buildings, but I found 80 rounds for it as well.

At the Balota Airstrip, I found like 80 rounds for my mosin. Took me a minute to figure out how to load it,(wasnt emptying the box first/was my first time finding a mosin) but really I felt comfortable once I had 40 rounds in my pack.

One thing I did worry about is whether I was taking their fun away. Sure, its a bit hard being a new spawn with no good way of defending yourself from zombies or worse, but I figured some people might not like having those challenges dispatched before they even had a chance to do it themselves. One of the people I helped hadnt noticed me, so when two zombies were charging at him while he only had a shovel; I dropped them before he even had a chance to swing. He must have been a bit surprised to see two zombies in the middle of attacking him suddenly drop dead, but I hope he appreciated it.

I really dont like the single dot they implement now. Maybe its my settings, my monitor, or just my eyeballs, but I often cant see it right away.

Six zombies is my max as well. Running through Cherno at night and things got a little crazy because a zombie went to hit me and when he missed it made a loud noise like a bullet ricocheting or something.

Eirebornfenix uploads often...in fact, his videos largely convinced me download the game.

My pants are simply stuffed with pants.
