  1. Unfortunately we're having to close the server on 2nd April 2015.

We've had the server for nearly a year and appreciate all the players that like to visit the server and call it home. There's been some great sessions on there and we hope the guests have enjoyed it too. But alas all good things must come to an end and due to increasing costs it's not been possible to carry on with the server.

Still be on the look out for the [XSG] tag in another server near you.

    :D

  2. Or we should be able to download the server files for free since we've already payed 24€ for the game I dont see why we should be able to just get the server files aswell and host private servers of our own some of us/most of us have powerfull dedi's and VPS' which would be able to come in handy for once...

I'm not sure, seeing as you're new here, but did you miss all the Tweets and Posts from the Devs in various social media, interviews and blogs that outline why there's no private server files yet?

You could have a Cray super computer for all the good it'll do you when the server files are not ready for public release

  3. I've seen 3 hackers get global banned via our server, although non recently, but it's the usual cat and mouse affair with all anti-cheat systems.

The game is so in it's infancy that the tools just aren't ready or there yet but they will appear eventually.

If you feel you're pissing money down the drain then you need to stop renting a server and wait. If you can't wait and you're aware of the conditions that Administrating a server currently brings, then you can't complain as you knew before signing up.

We all want what you want, but you have to be patient as we're all very aware development isn't the speediest with this game.

  4. My opinion you pay for a private server out of your own cash its your own server to do what you want with it. Private servers are easy to spot and avoid. if you want to pay whatever a month to be able to loot best gear solo then so be it, Im suprised a company is biting the hands that feed it and punishing private server hosts at all

If people could rent a Private server then that's fine, however all servers at the moment are Public and connect to the Public Hive.

Private Server + Private Hive - Have your own rules & loot as much as you like.

Public Server + Public Hive - Follow the BI terms of service <<< This is what we have at the moment.

You rent the server hardware/game software, you never own it.

  5. And we're into the Top 20 on Gametracker which is pretty amazing for a hardcore server & we dont restart every hour just to get server hoppers in ;)

Thanks to all the regular clans and players who drop by every day and make playing DayZ what it is!

    New players always welcome.

  6. This is the flipside of reporting servers that kick people so the owners can loot everything themselves.

The only way I can see something being workable is there being a message in chat when a player dies and who their killer was. That and only that is shown, no location etc, just a kill message.

That would give Admins the opportunity to identify the potential cheater.

Unfortunately it still won't stop the reports to GSP's who can issue warnings etc

  7. No matter what server you are on, you will always get bandits and griefers, but PvP is at the heart of the game.

In spawn areas, we won't attack any new players and by "we" I mean members of XSGamers but the same can't be said about others.Plus if a new spawn is lucky then we'll give them some supplies to help them out. The flip side is that we've had a fair few new spawns, who with nothing to lose, just go total Banzai! on you in the vain hope they can get a lucky shot and steal a weapon off you.

So from a clan point of view you'll be safe around an XSGamer member, but the 30 other players I can't say what they will do.

In contested areas and I mean places like the airfields and military bases then it's shoot first ask questions later as it's too hostile around there to take the chance of talking first :D

Also   Top 50 server

  8. Well we just crept into the Top 100 Gametracker servers and appreciate every visitor that graces the server.

We're hopefully going to have more features coming soon once we have BattlEye Extended Controls working.

We welcome solo and clans as everyone will be either helped or shot on sight (depends where you are on the map and if you act hostile) :D

  9. I have a weird issue and not sure what's causing it, but here are the symptoms.

I have a 3 monitor setup but it's not used for surround video, just 3 separate screens, with the main Iiyama being the gaming screen. The other screens are used for TS, Twitch, XSplit etc

    1 x 28" Hannspree

    1 x 27" Iiyama

    1 x 27" AOC

I run 2 x 670's in SLI using the Arma II SLI profile via nvidiainspector that powers both the Iiyama and the AOC screen. The Hannspree is connected via the onboard video (i7 2600k).

The problem is that while gaming in DayZ:SA I can see an invisible mouse pointer moving on my spare screens (it hovers over TS etc) and when I left or right-click it can activate sub-menu's or even highlight something in my Taskbar or programs that are running on the spare screen. Sometimes it can kick my game back to desktop.

It's almost like I'm running Fake Full Screen, which is basically Fullscreen Windowed mode but I'm not as I have Windowed set to 0 in the config file.

Has anyone with multi-monitor setup come across this issue where a phantom pointer is roaming around on their spare screens?

While it doesn't stop me playing the game it's damn annoying :D
