    By chance did you pick up a lot of backpacks? I had picked up probably 6-7 backpacks and had them all stacked inside my inventory. Thought maybe this had something to do with it.

    This is the exact reason I came to these forums. I'm having the same problem. I had this happen to me once before and I ended up dieing to a zombie due to the fact I couldn't take out a weapon to defend myself but then when I respawned it was fixed. Now i'm having the same problem again and I would like a solution other than killing myself.
