    Why no killer tag

    People need to realize that you can have a realistically influenced game without being LITERALLY "realistic". Of course it's "fake as hell" compared to real life, but compared to a variety of other games it's quite realistic due to realistically influenced features! There must be compromise, but that does NOT mean realism is not a factor! I'm getting quite sick of the "anti realism" argument as it's basically saying you can't use realism as an argument simply because it's a game and that's ridiculous. There's a great extent of variety in terms of realism in games. In general, I can say that the more realistically influenced features, the more immersive the game becomes (of course with compromise).

    KOS would happen but not to the extent that it exists in DayZ at the moment for several reasons. I'm not saying this is a bad thing but it's the truth.
  7. To be honest, you'd need TONS upon TONS of slow moving zombies to ever have them become a threat. And even then, they won't be a threat if there's even a single escape route in which you can just run away. I think, if anything, their speed could be lowered just a tad from what they are. I just really can't see slow zombies ever being a real threat. Anyway I don't wanna get too off topic. I could agree with zombies not respawning for a minute or two rather than instantly if it's not too hard of a change (I wouldn't think it would be). Other than that I'm totally content to wait for the more finalized zombies. Edit: I'm glad the title was changed to fit the vote.

    I also vote for "Lack of things to do" which for some reason isn't a poll option? So being as that's not an actual option, I vote for fear of death and assholes.
  9. Am I satisfied with the current implementation of zombies? Yes, I am satisfied with the placeholder zombies. Sure they're broken in their current form, but they're certainly a hindrance that adds more than a single dimension (PVP) to the game as before. I have no sympathy for people who say it ruins PVP. I mean, that's kind of the point, isn't it? When they're finalized they will be even more of a hindrance. This isn't exactly a "PVP Game". That's just one element of it.

    Yeah a week or so ago after getting bored with my character I decided to "get risky" and venture to NWAF on a full server to find some trouble. Only there was no trouble to be found. :(

    Why no killer tag

    Absolutely not. That would destroy an important part of the game's immersion & tension. You have to visually check to see if you got a kill. If you want to know who you killed, go over to the body and check the pulse. Edit: Sorry didn't read correctly. Still against a killer tag though.

    So, uh, anyone find anything new with the mini patch? Aside from rubberbanding. Maybe the city to the far north west is completed now.
  19. There were already accelerated time tests on the last version so I highly doubt that's all the update is about. (Plus the fact that it's 170MB)
