\/ THIS. Aiming with a combat pace is very common and useful - and should be the default pace. If you want to aim more precisely while moving, use the walk toggle. I set mine to the F key for this very reason. It was very fluid before - and this is far from it. If anything, the fluidity of transitions between stances and movements is what makes it feel realistic. Running-and-gunning or spraying-and-praying should be dealt with not by making controls less fluid, but by better designing the ballistics to have penalties for more movement. -
I know what you mean and I've experienced this "cannon shot" sound for quite some time now (possible since the alpha's release). The sound is not a gas station explosion as it occurs at more frequent intervals (maybe separated by a second or two).

I definitely agree with OP. I much preferred the system in 0.46 over the new implementation. As it is in 0.47, both crouch and ADS force you to move slow by default and fast with the sprint key/double tap w. No longer can you easily transition between crouch/prone and sprinting. I still think there's a chance that it's a bug/accidental because to me these changes seem to be less fluid. What's been changed with crawling since 0.46? I didn't pay much attention to it when playing earlier. -
I've found that there's several servers that never work. When the exp. just released there was one server (a DAL server I believe) that did not let anyone join. Now there's many servers that never let anyone join. I have been wondering what the issue is as well. Never seen em start working once anyone joins cause, well, I've never seen anyone join. That being said, I've played very little in the last few weeks. Yeah I'd recommend sticking to the BE enabled servers. -
Even when there's no moon, the gamma glitch works better when HDR is set to "Low" rather than "Very Low". Hell, it makes night vision better in general even without the gamma glitch. Make sure you keep this setting on "Low" at nighttime. Other than that it could *possibly* be a ESP type cheat or something, though less likely.

In order to cook on a portable gas stove you need a pot/pan. Other than that they don't have a use yet.

The old sound never got me killed on account of I never log off in frequented places. On the other hand, the sound DID save me from people who spawned in right near/around me, possibly in the building I just cleared. -

You can make an improvised courier bag with the pelt and a rope. You can also improve it with sticks but that part's currently bugged. Not sure what else, if anything, can be crafted with a pelt at this time.

Looking now there's about 48 experimental servers with BE enabled and 6 servers with BE disabled.

You can craft a leather bag out of a rope and animal pelt. Not sure what else yet.

Even in the last version they seemed to usually be 2 hit kills. (Aka death if the guy you shot sees you and has a gun)

Can't respawn, constantly spawning in dead

How long have you attempted to stay in game allowing your character to *really* die? This happened to me once and eventually I "actually" died and was able to respawn. I'm not sure how long it took though as I just let the game run in the background while I slowly died in the water. -
Personally can't say I've ever ran into the "your gun holsters itself" bug. The only time that has ever happened to me is right after I equip the weapon.

Awesome blog! Can't wait till the next experimental! :D So instead of catching every chance you can get to complain why don't you play something else? Or wait and see instead of discussing the future? That's what I'd do if I was as unhappy sounding as you anyway. At the very least, create your own complaint thread and leave this one untarnished. -

Good read, and props for not giving up. The game is the most fun when you actually value your characters life. I went through a similar scenario once when leaving Chernaya Polana. Was on some rocks just SW of the city and broke my leg which of course destroyed the morphine that I carried in my pants. I now know that you should NEVER store morphine/splints in your pants. So anyway I decided to crawl back to the city and subsequently searched every building I could enter to look for morphine or a stick but found no such item and eventually (after about an hour or so) climbed to the top of the fire station, shot off all my weapons, and jumped off the edge. Also, your story makes a good point that duct tape and rope should be acceptable options for crafting a splint.
