Yea, you can silence your shots with cheats. You actually hear the bullet hitting you, but the shot is silent.

Yea, it kinda does. I was thinking exactly like you, untill I got tired of getting constantly killed. I have more than 200 hours on Dayz and I've had many many encounters. In 8/10 of the situations I would get killed by a couple of geared up guys like those 2 I met. How do I know that when they get tired of me they won't shoot me in the back? And ofc when I see a guy in shitty clothes, no military gear, but just a gun I will probably talk to him and ask him to put it down.

Probably. But still, if I dont have a weapon, maybe I wont be shot. And when I pick a new one I wil probably leave the airstrip (if I got all the the stuff I need)

Before I got to the airstrip I was fully geared. I gave almost everything I had to my friend before I entered it so I have more space to pick up more stuff. Most importantly, I gave him my mosin too ( the one that was in my toolbar history). Without a weapon people don't consider me a big threat, so the possibility of someone shooting me on sight is smaller and I can pick up a new gun. :)

Yea I added the "sursprise mothereffer" thing. I was to "scared" and concentrated to think :D By the way, I went to the airfield cause my friend, who was near the place, has heard a couple of shots, so probably something had happened there. It's possible that someone had left the gun there, cause it was already loaded. :)
