I'm having the same issue. When I connect to one of the servers in my history menu I get booted out saying that it couldn't verify me. Any ideas why? I'm running version 0.35.115188. Is that up-to-date? Edit, steam is down? >:(

I heard something about heart attacks and just can't believe it's been put in. Rediculous idea.

I've only played the mod once and really noticed a huge difference with zombies. Spawned in with a rifle and pistol, saw a z miles away and shot at it. Within seconds LOTS of zombies were chasing me about.Will be interesting when as has more, better zombies!

Road signs - get on a road and head to the edge of town. They are all in Russian though.

How di you know someone hasn't shot you in the head?

I'm moving towards a more KoS attitude to the game now as I've tried to be nice to people who appear to be new spawns but then have had then sneak and knock me out on a couple of occasions.

This might sound like a silly question but if this is a zombie survival game why does loot respawn? If the s**t really did hit the fan food wouldn't keep reappearing in houses and supermarkets. I was thinking last night how it could be interesting to have a hunger games style server with a certain number of players spawning at a set time (maybe in a similar location) and seeing who could last the longest. There would be no loot respawning and once a player was dead they could not come back on. The last player alive on the server would be the winner. It would introduce a new element to the game where you would have the choice of either running from the initial spawn point to one of the army bases to get weapons or to try to get supplies, etc from the spawn point. If a player logs out of the server their character stays active in the last position they were in so you'd have to find a good spot to drop out. The character would also still be using energy and water while logged off the server so you couldn't just go and hide in the woods to win. I know its probably not going to be a popular idea but I just thought it could be an interesting idea.

Yep! You could have a process where you sign up and are told a start time for the server. You can join up before the server starts but once it's going its a closed server. Nothing is brought in from outside and nothing respawns. Could be a lot of fun.

Ah fair enough. I've not played the mod and have only had SA for two weeks. I just thought it could be interesting to kind of set up a server that was more like the real world instead of one that resets itself every few hours. Would make actually getting and storing gear more interesting as well.

I don't think its actually there to protect your gear, more that it has 6 or 8 spots to hold items but only takes up 4 in your inventory. Same as ammo boxes and medic packs

I'm quite new to dayz and just wanted to ask about the zombie ai in game. I'd heard if you broke line of site and were then quiet the zombies would potentially lose track of you? I've recently respawned and have found that zombies seem to want to chase me everywhere! This wasn't an issue when I had a fire axe but with just my fists (and a moldy banana) I'm struggling to lose them! Am I just being a bit dim?

Cheers, they seem more persistent than they were before the recent patch. Just a balls ache when you have nothing other than your fists!

At the moment these will be cleared at server reset?

There is a map, you have to find all the bits though I think...

Erm, stupid noob question but do I have to download anything or is the patch just installed on the server?

On this topic can anyone give me any advice? I got attacked just after spawning and wrapped the wounds in rags. My character keeps swearing and saying things hurt even though I am not being shown any kind of illness/issue. What do I need to do?
