Shotgun sucks unless you have the element of surprise. M4 is inaccurate as all get out. FnX doesn't do enough damage for a .45 realistically Magnum is decent Mosin is over powered.

It's funny, how many times have I died to the M4? None. At all. I've been hit many times, but an actual death from that inaccurate piece of metal? None. The Mosin on the other hand, lets not go there.

I'm glad to see my KoS tactics root out the weak survivors in Alpha. Now I won't have to deal with as many in the real game. Cya later

Thats the point where I just shoot them to be safe and live.

Just take a fireaxe and whack away at their body. If they are dumb enough to stay on it'll ruin all their gear.

I don't understand why we can't just hit logout, and our character sits down and we wait there for 30 seconds and if something happens we move and we don't log out until we sit down for a straight 30 seconds.

DayZ is not for everyone. I jumped into Alpha and never played the mod and loved it and have over 300 hours. My buddy played a bit on my account and gave up after 15 minutes.

I get fully geared and run around the coast killing people helping new spawns and recruit new spawns to be my slaves.

It's simple. We don't want to die. I'll let you in on a little story of how I became a hated "KoSer" I had watched some youtubers play the mod, but never bought it until standalone came out. The very day it came out, I bought it and had a vague idea of what player interaction was like. I felt like I had enough information to play by myself and went out and looted up. Eventually I encountered my first zombie, and I felt like I could kill it. It hit me twice, but I got the pathing down pretty quickly and ran circles around it beating it to death after a minute or so of shovel hits. I didn't have bandages and remember seeing a tear into rags feature earlier from looting and took of my shirt and figured out how to bandage. By this time my screen was pretty grey and I got up, and was looking around some town for a water fountain. Eventually I found one with a player kneeling by it. I started typing cause I didn't know how to use voip, and he just turned around and beat me to death with his crowbar and then fists. I fell unconscious and googled how to become conscious again, which led me to a string of issues involving it and I decided to respawn. From that life on, no one I don't know comes near me alive. The very next life (2nd life mind you) I found some poor sap at a drinking fountain and noting he had an axe, I bashed his head in with my new shovel. In that moment,m I realized I had potentially saved my life by killing that poor sap. Now, here I am 300 hours later and I kill anyone that has a gun on sight, and anyone that comes too close to me with a melee weapon. If they don't see me and I'm too close, I will kill them. Simple as that. We KoS to survive. And that's what DayZ is about. Argue away peaceful noobs.

Don't get me wrong, when I killed that guy at the well I felt terrible, and again a few kills later when I killed some 8 year old kid who started telling me he was new after I killed him. (He sounded 8) From my personal experience, I get killed when I don't either avoid people entirely, or kill them first. That is how I like to play. Sure I've spared a few people and taken them with me, but 1/4 that I took with me and saved killed me when he had the chance. Sure it may be taking the easy way out, but It lets me live longer. Also, to clarify I don't go around server hopping at airfields killing people, it's just when I see people when I'm going around actually playing DayZ, not CoD.

Indeed. If everyone else is KoSing, I'm not KoSing BECAUSE everyone else is exactly. I'm doing it so that they don't KoS me, and THAT is surviving. It's not peer pressure and I'm just Kosing to KoS, I want those who are complaining to understand that.

I don't understand this. the way other try to interact with people. You mean people interact with people? All I saw was KoS after KoS and that's what I do now, as do the vast majority of people.

I have yet to see a PRISTINE long range scope since the patch, and ballistic vests. However I have found one damaged and one badly damaged scopes.

I KoS and I am not a kid. Sure many older people could refer to me as a kid, just finishing up my last year of high school, but seriously, killing fresh spawns is not part of what I do. I kill people who have any sort of weapon that come too close to me, and if they have a gun, I kill them. It's part of the game, however not everyone is a "kid"
