You need to check the build numbers and join a server which build does not match the ones you keep dying on. Perhaps steam automatically updated you guys and are now compatible. My buddy had this problem and he mentioned the server builds was the key to fixing it.

Go to the main menu of DayZ you know the one with Play Change Server Configure and Character. On the bottom right you should see the name User. Click on it and edit it. You can change it as many times as you want.

Try a server where you have really good ping if you are truly trying to kill yourself. You could be lagging and lag tends to save people from falling,

Nah my character is a black man, and I don't use any color backpack besides green if I don't have to. I don't even know that location. Theres some industrial place, a sniperloot building and some crates but other then that I see no indication. I'm still chilling at Balota, like I have been server hopping the last few weeks.

That was some noob with: 1: A shotgun, no self respecting bandit uses a shotgun at an airfield. Which you are not at. I'm not really sure where you are but its not a place to use a shotgun. 2: A headtorch....seriously? Gratz on killing a noob. #Unimpressed

The point here is, when Hitler was alone with his friends he maintained composure, talked normally, helped out fellow GERMANS, and was a decent guy if you excluded the whole Jew situation. The governor off the Walking Dead acted normal too. In fact he played the role of a HERO as some people would say before using his pawns as minions to be a ruthless bandit....TWICE. Granted some people who kill people would mumble random stuff and talk differently, but any good bandit will be used to it and will be able to act normally. Just like in DayZ when kids come around yelling friendly you can tell if they are not friendly by the way they talk (or don't) and act. The best of us however, can easily sway people into believing we are heroes and ax them in the head when their back is turned. In real life I probably couldn't but this is a video game. It is possible to maintain composure after killing people. And do not suggest after so many kills and attempts to see if you are a bandit you become immune and stop mumbling cause that's a sort of leveling system and that is not allowed in Dayz.

Yeah see. All I do is server hop Balota and snipe from a hill. I get about 15 kills a day and die maybe once a week. If I'm with my clan I get even more kills but normally I am alone. Die, spend 2 hours gearing up at CHERNO (since you noobs all loot Elektro) and run back to Balota, get a mosin from a night server and camp the jail on a 40 person server till someone logs in upstairs, kill them take scope and head to hill. Rinse and repeat. All I do is kill players. Your kill was fine. The fact that you feel you don't need to shoot first all the time is stupid. Nearly everyone KoS's. All I do is rid the Balota airfield of people who will KoS for military loot and I feel great about it. If you assume you have geared up decently (food,water, weapon, ammo) it takes you 1 hour minimum to spawn near Elektro, loot and run over, and get in position. Assuming I only kill 4 people before getting counter sniped I have ruined 4 hours minimum of people's time, while losing perhaps 2 of mine. Makes my life well worth it. KoS is the end game right now, so hop on the boat or play hero and real-life and get shot. Easy as that/

Skins would ruin the whole point of the game. In real life if I kill you for a stupid post do I magically get a uniform that says bandit? No. (Unless of course I'm rocking the orange overalls for going to jail) Same things with hero. It's not rocket science, it doesn't happen in real life and its not important for the game. Making people THINK and use THEIR brains instead of their eyes for a skin does wonders. Sure you could get innocent blood on your clothes but hey, clothes are replaceable, even in an apocalypse. You can grab yourself a purdy little cop outfit and play dress up hero all you want, but I am against them.

Oh see some of us thought about that. I'm waiting till the IP is posted and making sure I know what the other guys look like

I'm not bragging, there are tons of groups better then mine. i'm just saying all he did was kill some KoS kids.

Any server that says you cannot pvp is in violation of server hosting. So.....PvE servers technically don't exist. If they ban you for PvP report them.

See you killed noob bandits. You didn't kill bandits. Actual bandits like my group and a few others don't rob people and we don't kill fresh spawns unless of course they want to bring their fists in. We go around and we killed GEARED UP people because its, I don't know, a challenge. You killed a bunch of noobs that are using fresh spawns as targets practice cause they suck. Real bandits kill other geared players for mainly thrill, adrenaline and sometimes weapons for other members of a group. TL;DR- You killed some noobs. Gratz.

Funny, been through Cherno on almost 8 full servers and not a single looted building. Balota and Elektro on the other hand....

These are obviously sucky bandits. If that was my team you guys would not have even seen us before you died.
