Needs to be longer, waaay longer. I could easily hide for 10 seconds with someone chasing me.
-
The problem with that is that many people aren't "testing" the bug, only exploiting it, which helps no one.
-
That's the problem We don't want people testing this. We only need to alert devs (bug tracker) and leave it at that. You had good intentions, and I respect that, but it wasn't bright.
-
A little contradictory, but it would probably be best to leave it on the bug tracker. Having it on the forums will hurt more than it will help, regardless of intentions. I don't mean that to sound like I'm being an ass, but I still agree that bugs shouldn't be posted on forums if they can be abused,

As far as I know, the disinfectant is only for wounds, not items, but I'm not entirely sure.

Some servers are swapped, and even if they aren't, why not play on a server with a different timezone?

To explain why you don't know what you're talking about? Because you say you're going to kill me despite me not being able to see you, your only real response was an in-game threat and a bad one at that. Then you bring up flashlights, which I never mentioned once. Not sure how that's relevant to my post. I love how you call me a troll, yet all you do is threaten to kill me in-game with grammar that hurts my eyes.
-
Fixed another one. Your fail at an impudent rant makes me fuzzy inside. Mostly because you don't seem to even know what you're talking about.

Fixed

I love how people are quick to shout ALPHA and absolutely nothing else. In a few months, when those are implemented, guess what stage the game will still be at? Either way, it matters a great deal.

SA - Is the blood regeneration working?
BurritoBandit replied to Nahchito (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
The only way to remove the black and white is to gain more blood, through regen (which people are still trying to understand) saline bags (I believe) and blood bags (but there are multiple blood types, if you inject the wrong one, you die.) -
I'm pretty sure that things like fluidity will be fixed in the future, but it is not a priority. I understand where you are coming from in that it is a 'core' mechanic, but mechanics come after architecture, which is a main concern at this point along with things like hacking. On to the battery tester point; fixing the battery testing feature probably took a few minutes. Fixing things like character movement and fluidity will take much longer. Maybe it's simply because I've loved ArmA for what seems like ever that I don't mind it, but movement right now should not be a main concern, except for some bugs. As for where the SA is headed, I believe someone already posted a link to a post from Rocket stating where he wants to SA to go. Anything that hasn't been posted by the Dev Team is an assumption.

blood regen with current notifications
BurritoBandit replied to need matches's topic in General Discussion
Oh, never thought of that. Thanks. -
DayZ is one of those games where it takes a while before it gets really fun. Just bear that in mind. Many of the features you won't know how to use, and it's hard to go over all of them at one time. You will get better with experience, and you will have more fun with experience.

blood regen with current notifications
BurritoBandit replied to need matches's topic in General Discussion
I once lost most of my blood, and ate/drank an insane amount until it started saying I was full. I never got that 'healthy' or 'regen' status but my screen started to fill with colour, so I was regening yet I never got the status. Bug? -
Fixing degraded gear to come soon?
BurritoBandit replied to desryachri's topic in General Discussion
I imagine that would be implemented the same time as everything else 'camp' related. (Fireplaces, cooking, storage, vehicles, shelter, etc.) -
Force mic chat: skype etc.. thru dayz?
BurritoBandit replied to sai (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Wouldn't work, since if ANYONE in my house decides to walk past my room while chatting, everyone in the radius will hear it. Edit: Also, 98% of the community would go apeshit. But, people keep forgetting that something like this would be very easy to work around. I could simply stop giving DayZ permission to use my mic, all problems solved. -
Games only exist to fill caffeine and violence addictions. :P

Standalond Hackers...[Teleported to ocean]
BurritoBandit replied to scroogescrooge's topic in General Discussion
This game is in no way heading for disaster, the amount of copies sold are astounding. Even if the few people who don't like the model ask for their money back, 99% of the community will remain and that will be more than enough to fuel the game to completion. The mod is a perfect example, hundreds if not thousands of people were more than willing to pay for their servers. The game is not going to fall apart, it has too much support. -
Before today's update, I was able to run the highest settings with no problems with frame rate. After update, I have huge frame rate problems even on medium settings. Anyone else?

Zombie Action, Surviving and Death. (DayZ Alpha) - Ep.2
BurritoBandit replied to dimitriuk's topic in General Discussion
Rather... harsh, but not entirely incorrect. Don't tell people what happens (I watched the video, and what happened was in the desc) as the entire point of DayZ (and it's videos) is to be surprised by what happens. Once that surprise is gone, it's a little harder to sit around and watch a video. -

Remember Green Mountain ?

Child, have you not learned? We don't speak of the mountain here. This is a sacred place. -
Don't forget the point of Alpha...
BurritoBandit replied to ninjacalypse's topic in General Discussion
It is not pointless, if there are 200 threads reporting problem A and only 125 complaining about problem B, which do you think will be fixed first? Bug fixing isn't always a queue that operates on what is noticed first, it is what needs to be fixed first in order to please the community. People shouting "ALPHA" do nothing to help any more than the person who is reporting a bug. Yes, in time they will eventually fix all the problems, but the amount of complaints on certain problems influences the order.
