I love how when someone has a problem, people just shout ALPHA while contributing absolutely nothing. There are many reasons that your character could have been wiped, there has been an issue with random wipes that either stem from the dev team wanting to wipe for their own reasons, certain bugs that could occur, and there are times when you join a server that isn't properly connected to the hive, it deletes characters. As others have said, don't get attached to your gear as this isn't going to be the last time it will be wiped.

Rocket stated that there is a plan to patch combat logging, but he wants to ensure that the server's architecture is stable enough to implement it. In other words, the system is already pretty set up, but it needs to be tested and then added into the game.

The one thing I noticed is when a new player asks what to do, the experianced player tells them a watered down version of what they do, and that won't work. Running north helps when you know what you're looking for and if you know the map decently. If you don't, you'll be running for hours and simply get lost. The best thing to do would be to run along the coast and try to make friends. Most will shoot you, yes, but then you know the bandit/survivor ratio well enough.

I have been playing the SA solo lately and decided that I want to go with a group. I play on North American servers and I will work with any play style, and I have played extensive amounts of ArmA2, both DayZ and other mods such as ACE. So any group of about 2-6 want an extra person? I just died recently, no real gear as of now. Almost forgot to add this: Skype = Burrito.Bandit ^ Having Skype/TS is my only real requirement.

all you get is a bandage and flashlight. Just check a market, it will have pretty much anything you should need, you can get a backpack in about 5 minutes if you know where to look.

I found 3 in about 2 hours. Its mostly about luck. I rarely find one, the 3 I found was an insane amoutn of luck. Got a nice DMR, M107, and Bizon out of it though
